Damn...that was a slap in a face. It's all good about the Sheryl but what's more wrong with said ending it's the indecisive one. Now will see some fan fiction across the forums with different endings and I'm sure some will be much better then this.

But I guess now we have Sheryl to ourselves...

I just watched the screenshots and read this thread. I thought that Macross F was be a great series till... 30 minutes ago? >_> I'm really disappointed of this nonsense ending. And Alto could make a choice between Ranka and Sheryl. They're so different that's obvious picking the one you like the most. >_>

At the end, I'm happy that Ranka and Brera are alive.

2 girls can't decide who love Alto more and Alto being stupid pilot he is, destroyed his VF 25 and do buzzing around 2 divas. He did not choose which girl to bonk with, perhaps he is thinking 3 some.

The big busty glasses girl awakes from her coma while the radar guy runs to her ward. The old ace hugged Cathy and the crew of Battler do the classic line up for camera shot in the end surrounded by green field.

Ranka slapped Sheryl? That's so awesome!

They have both slapped each other now. It should have been a Ranka x Sheryl ending!

lol! I am right now thanking god, because i was not shipping for either girl! I got one of the couples I wanted [OzmaxCathy]and the other didn't come forth[MichealxKlan] because they killed micheal! Only disappointment is that Alto didn't die! So at the end Alto does love both girls equally and can't decide which one he wants more. Macross 7 ending!

This being said, you will notice that both girls have thrown themselves at him, without him actively pursuing them.
Granted sheryl is awesome, and there were more than one hint of him being romantically interested in her, but in the end, he is just transitionning to adulthood and being asked to make a choice he didn't ask for on top of the Human/Vajra war and the Leon/Grace coup d'etat.

Imo that was a bit much to solve in just one episode, and despite having wished for a SherylxAlto (which is not negated, just not confirmed), part of me is happy that the more realistic "I need some time to figure things out with all those people who want things from me" for Alto was the way chosen. Now we need more Macross F soon !

Well, I don´t know, they left it open-ended, but by current development he should choose Sheryl.

Of course nobody knows if all now-peaceful Vajra will go battle-crazy again, if Ranka has a bad day, so it might not be a good idea to disappoint her. ^^

Galaxy was used as goalkeeper role to protect Big Grace and also transmitting Ranka's voice to Vajra. The ship has no human crew, presumably they were all killed by Vajra, the ship was fully assimilated including the Galaxy Ghost drones. The Galaxy Battler was fighting furiously to protect Big Grace and did pretty well.

Somehow Ranka managed to snap out and used Galaxy's transmitter to turn Vajra Fleet on Big Grace before Alto rescued her from the confinement. After the rescue, the Battler punch into Galaxy Battler and used Daedalus attack to destroy it.

Big Grace was left defenceless and Alto sniped her to end the crisis.
