That isn't true at all.

Da Capo visual novels are made by Circus, studio behind the anime is feel (And a few others).

ef visual novels are made by Minori, studio behind the anime is SHAFT.

Sola is an original work, studio behind it is Nomad.

All three had Naru Nanao behind character designs (or at least some of the characters in the original Da Capo), though beyond that, they're all different.

And yes, Matsuri does look like Yuuko.
Spoiler for Picture:

:( Ouch my heart- Saddest moment in anime

Anyone else end up emotionally stunted because of Bambi or Old Yeller? I bet many of you remember in some detail the moments leading to Bambi's mothers end...I sure do and the sobbing that followed. These kind of moments don't happen often but when they do they grab on your heart strings and won't let go. You remember it days/weeks/years later and it still depressing.

I've been really into anime for the last ten years and while most of the sad moments haven't stayed with me, Grave of the Fire Flies is still there. After watching it, I wished I hadn't. Even now I try not to think to hard about it, but I remember it depressing me for nearly a week afterwards.

Spoiler for Simoun:

We're all different people and some things have different impacts; something that someone else might laugh off might leave the next person in tears. Maybe I'm soft hearted but another one of the sad moments that sticks with me is from Naruto and its not an event you might expect.

Spoiler for Naruto:

Anyone care to share their tear filled moments in anime? Remember to add in spoiler tags so you won't ruin anything.

Episode 7 of clannad I believe has been the only anime to make me cry yet.

I might be an episode or so off but anyone who has watched the show knows the one I'm talking about. It's the only real sad moment/episode that early on in the series.

It isn`t an anime, but a manga.
Sand Chronicles (Sunadokei) Hinako by Ashihara.
It`s the saddest history I`ve ever read and one of the best shojos too.

Twin Spica. In fact, it's the only anime that made me cry. It's very touching.

5cm Per Second left me teary eyed, which is a rare feat. Something about those loves on the verge of happening, yet fading away is heartrending. It's not something I can watch too often, but it's an excellent little film.

Pixelation stole my fire, but I was going to say 5 Centimeters Per Second as well.
"Makoto Shinkai's works are often sad affairs, but it really struck me as even sadder than say Voices of a Distant Star because there was the chance of a happy ending...and it just slipped through the main characters hands.
