Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions

I saw no topics yet concerning this game. I am exited about it:

Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions is a game involving various dimensions and different versions of Spider-man: so far Amazing, Noir and 2099 (one more blank)

There isn't much known about the game yet, all beside the fact that you get to play like different spider-men. And I believe it is going to be for PS3 and Xbox360

That sounds cool and I'm a man who loves webswinging around levels, but all the universe hopping has me worried. Spider-Man is – and comics games in general are -- about a story, in my eyes. Are we going to get to know these characters? Will the story evolve beyond, "We have to save the world by punching Villain X in the face"?

I don't have the answers for you, but after seeing Activision's E3 demonstration, I do know that the third universe in this game is Spider-Man 2099 and it's pretty sweet looking.

^ Trailer involving the villains

^ 2nd trailer, introducing 2099

Spoiler for the most likely last candidate:

As a long time Spider Man fan I am definitely looking forward to this. I've mostly only paid attention to the Amazing and Ultimate Spider Man universes, I've never heard of the Noir universe. But I'm especially looking forward to playing as the 2099 version of Spider Man. Mmmm Futuristic Spider man...

Sounds kind of similar to the plot of the final episodes of Spider-Man The Animated Series from the 90's.

The Spider Wars were pretty awesome. It was the reason why I started using Armoured Spidey more often in Marvel vs Street Fighter.

Ultimate Spider-Man. Bah! I would have preferred something more unique, like Zombie Spider-Man or 1602 Spider-Man. Heh, Spider-Ham would have been pretty amusing.

EDIT: Apparently Ultimate is going to use the black suit.

Got to disagree with Zombie Spider-Man being unique (but then, I'm not fond of Marvel Zombies), but 1602 Spidey would have been a interesting twist.

So we got the Past, Present, and Future, as well as an added Carnage-Spider Man going against all these foes in 4 different time-lines. We got the future spider-man (Spider-Man 2099) set in the alternative future where there are flying cars, really tall buildings.

Next we have The Amazing Spider-Man which I think we all know the red-blue suit set in the present time

Next we have the Noir-Spider-Man set in like the Mafia times? Well since that time, streets and alleys were especially dark, I would understand the whole sneaking around thing.

Last we have the Ultimate Spider-Man which sorta looks like Venom, but less meatier, the only difference I can see between Venom and Ultimate Spider-Man is that Ultimate does not eat/consume people :P

Well just my view of things.

Actually, all 4 Spider-men are from different dimensions. Except for Amazing & Ultimate, the other two Spider-men aren't Peter Parker.

Fun trivia:All 4 of the Spider-men Voice Actors have voiced Spidey before in 4 different Spider-man cartoons.
