Thumbs up

One thing to say about this episode at first:
Otonashi x Kanade Forever!

Very emotional and amazing! I so much at that scene and with Naoi too. I think that the singing was a little ridiculous but Hinata was funny with that scene of him being like a teacher. In other remarks Yuri was cute here=>
Spoiler:
Also it was about in general that they did not explain the past of people like TK and Noda but it was they did something like this=>
Spoiler:
to show all passed on to reincarnate. Also what a change between the friendship of Yuri and Kanade........they looked so friendly in this episode I would personally love a girl like Kanade should I find one around IRL. This being said excellent 10/10 overall despite the many holes that OVAs might cover.

For the past several weeks, I had been entertaining the whimsical notion that the Angel Beats afterlife was in the same plane of existence as the Lost afterlife. But there had been one major difference between the two, so that didn't seem possible.
Until now.
Turns out the Angel Beats afterlife is even more temporally independant from the living world than Lost's.

Nice episode. Too bad they didn't extend the last scene (after ED) abit longer, i wanna see how Otonashi and Kanade do after they leave the world. >w<

The ending kinda reminds me of............erm....FFX ending? Sad and touchy, but at the same time sweet and romantic... nice touch for last episode there.

It was never that type of relationship from the beginning. It was obvious from the moment he invited her to eat mapo tofu that he was attracted to her, and things built from there.

I'm guessing no chance for a season 2. Wouldn't make much sense. But where did they go? Another life such as in Kannazuki no Miko?

The power of loli triggered otonoshi's flag. lol

Well the otonoshi and kanade thing really took me by surprise. I mean I hoped the otonoshi would fall in love with kanade ,but I never thought the writers would actually do it. I was kinda like one of those shippers that wish a pairing would happen in a anime even though it seemed like it was a low chance of it happening.

I was sure that the anime was going to go for the I am glad we became friends kanade route and the they both vanish and the credits roll.

Well good job yuzuru for giving me a unexpected ending.

Well, it's the impression I got after seeing Otonashi's flashback with his younger sister. Maybe it's just that the confession at the end just feels strangely executed to me. :\

Well, I don't know whether to feel dissapointed or happy. I really enjoyed the ending, but I can't believe it ended that way, I really wanted to see what happened to everyone after they were re-incarnated. Atleast, I think that's what's happened.

Still a good ending I suppose, it's just a shame it finished so quickly, I was really hoping for a little bit more to show all the characters together again. Very good show though.

Didn't like it at all. Apart from the fact that a lot of stuff was left hanging, the ending was too short. I suppose it was a Bittersweet Ending but it felt almost like a Downer Ending for me.
This is the prime example of a show that could have been a lot better if it was given more episodes.

Hopefully there will be a fourteenth episode with the DVD/BRs that expands the ending at least. Slice-of-reincarnated-life anyone?

Looks like most of you are caught up on the more subjective issues that the writers can explain away if they so chose, like OtonashixKanade, or how Kanade got into that world before Otonashi did...I'm more hang up on the fact that there's no way Otonashi's heart could have been transplanted into Kanade if he had indeed died in the tunnel as suggested.

Epilogue is simple they were reincarnated and Otonashi x Kanade is the prime example it happened that they could meet IRL. I assume the same for Hinata x Yui most likely. Here's to hoping Noda x Yuri happening.

Otonashi freaking out as soon as she disappeared really made him pathetic.

Although I still don't see why he would even remember that song in his new life.

I really hope for a second season or a slice-of-life episode continuation of the ending.

Well my only regret about this episode is the lack of TK

I mean it is the last episode. Are the writers even allowed to make a last episode without TK in it?

i am guessing the BR will have a few specials to fill in the gaps.

the ending was good but also felt something was missing. Give it a 8 even through it should be a 8.5.
