Between the Buried and Me has been kicking my ass for a long time now, I think I'll go with them.

EDIT: Actually - Vedicardi - you mentioned you're into post-rock. I've been getting really into that stuff for the past few months. I LOVE Explosions in the Sky and Mogwai. I was interested in a Godspeed! album, what would you recommend? They only have a few, right?

They only have lets say, three full albums and one EP. I have two of their live shows recorded high quality as well from "the internet archive" and one very hard to find album they released in a magazine. That's besides the point though huh XD

I suggest you start with "Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada" and then "Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven" Then F# A# (Infinity) (it's hard to full appreciate the amazing tracks on here without hearing the two previously mentioned albums) and very last, Yanqui U.X.O. (their most difficult to "get into" album. A very good album, but it is different from their first three).

I also suggest you listen to Mono, a Japanese Post Rock band. Start with "Walking Cloud and Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered and the Sun Shined" then "You Are There." The other few albums from them you can take on any time you want or any order.

Hmm, I've never heard of Mono. Thanks for the suggestions!

Do you know the Japanese Post-Rock band Toe? I love their stuff. Haha there are only like 3 Japanese bands that I listen to at ALL and they're one of them.

The Samuel Jackson Five is fucking brilliant. Based on a few random clips of the band Toe you mentioned, seems it would be right up your alley (nice band that one, by the way).

Here's a few samples:

I voted 'other', i really dislike Western music, its pretty bland in rock terms in a personal opinion, I do like the 80's though. But I'm a visual-kei person.

i like a wide variety of genres, including metalcore, power metal, symphonic metal/rock, gothic metal, heavy metal, deathcore, some j-rock/visual kei, anime soundtracks, some late 70s/80s chinese pop (don't laugh at meh) and chinese folk songs. top 5 favourite bands would have to be:

killswitch engage <33333
within temptation
in flames
soilwork
36 crazyfists

i also like sonata arctica, lamb of god, lacuna coil, burning skies, nightmare, teresa teng and paula tsui. as far as anime goes, i'm in love with both the juuni kokki and nana soundtracks, especially recorded butterflies, windy and getsumei fuuei.

i stay away from emo, pop, rap and hip hop like the plague. funnily enough, just a few years ago, i used to be into pop and hip hop. then i gradually progressed to indie rock, emo/rock and then metal, and that's where i still am.
