Didn't they changed his voice before in Dawn of War 2?

Hm... as far as I know it was always Paul Dobson.

But i'm not sure anymore for DoW2. I can only confirm that he played Angelos in DoW1, DoW2 Chaos Rising and DoW2 Retribution. I can't remember if "vanilla" DoW2 had a different voice actor.

EDIT: Okay, He indeed had a different one for DoW2. But as I said they did change it back to the old VA in CR and Ret. So it still might be just a placeholder.

Paul wasn't available for recording the original DoW2 campaign so they got his brother Brian Dobson to fill in for him.

Seeing the cover in action. I actually sort of like it, it's similar to 1 but is more visually appealing.

Not really a fan of the new cover mechanic.
But I like the return of the bigger Marine squads.

So I've been playing Dawn of War II: Retribution the past month or so in sporadic periods, especially going through the various campaigns, and I noticed one thing that made me think that perhaps Dawn of War III's direction is the right one: that the previous cover system is practically useless.

Even when playing with the likes of the Imperial Guard, mostly I find myself using powers and abilities to protect my men, and in fact cover sometimes lead to deaths when I tried to maneuver my men to take advantage of them. Most of the time my units simply fought out in the open and I aimed to just use various stuns, crowd control powers and restores to keep my units safe in the heat of battle. The Company of Heroes cover system makes sense for that particular game mainly because every unit fought at range, thus tactics can be made over flanking and directional fire to defeat or benefit from cover, and hence cover was very important for gameplay. However, Dawn of War II has a lot of melee units and heavy units that make cover moot in many combat situations, not to mention that Dawn of War has a lot more units capable of crashing through cover simply by walking or using weaponry. This is most evident in the various boss battles that all the DoWII games had, where cover is frequently destroyed or rendered impractical due to the bosses' special abilities, and in fact some of those fights don't have cover at all.

Now for Retribution there is one cover mechanic that I still use somewhat during battle: garrisoned structures, since they're easy enough to use and prevents melee units from getting the drop on them, making them useful for units like Heavy Weapons squads. Now the reason this looks relevant for Dawn of War III is because the cover system for DoWIII is described as having limited health, which essentially makes the new cover system a newer version of the garrison system - providing improved cover in a fixed position, only that this time melee units can be used to break up whoever is inside the new cover system, and there's no delay between units entering the cover and being able to use their weapons again.

Essentially, the most controversial gameplay aspect of Dawn of War III that many people seem to hate is one that I see is a rather inevitable and positive change, since it makes gameplay centered more on ability use and general positioning rather than on exact positioning and facing, and the former was how Dawn of War II (at least for me) was already playing out anyway.

He never faced Kyras together with Gabriel, so I always expected his survival.

You do see Jonah's body in the final level though (iirc it's somewhere near where your final base building is), so the assumption is that he died.

*scratches head*

Woah... I totaly never realised... I finished Retribution with Chaos just 2 days ago (yeah I take my time playing trough all the campaigns... pretty much because they are all the same just with different heroes and units) and I didn't saw him there...

Okay, I'm just at the last (Space Marines) playthrough... I will watch for him now. xD

Thanks for correcting me.

Jonah is still alive and breathing?! I thought Gabe's second BFF was died in the hands of Kyras' daemons, lying in front of the Stronghold!

So the assumption: If Gabe lives, so do Jonah.

Now, will we see Diomedes soon?

Except Avitus... and Indrick Boreale.

But on the light side, Davian Thule wasn't harmed.

Space Marine ending is canon in DoW II: Retribution, as also hinted in Space Marine (last Relic game published by THQ). So most likely Thule wasn't killed like in Chaos perspective.

Maybe we'll see Diomedes as a character, but I'm not sure we'll see him as an Elite unit, given that the position of Force Commander is already taken by Gabriel Angelos, and I imagine the remaining 4 Elite slots for the Space Marines will have units like a Techmarine, Apothecary and others.
