I mean why did they fight again? And has it been mentioned why Chainsaw holds this power?

Makima wants Chainsaw (Pochita) and only Chainsaw. Denji is a hindrance.

In order to make that happen, Makima manipulated everyone and made sure everyone Denji held dear would die.

If Denji wants to live, he has no choice but to take down Makima.

96 is officially out. If Denji's plan works, there should be major changes in the world next week since the concept of control will have been erased from History.

Crossing my fingers for that announcement to be about a sequel.

I can understand the sentiment that both Chainsaw and Makima were the strongest without peer and maybe wanted an equal, but friend is pushing it a little...

What a ride! Fujimoto, you beast!

I love the reveals - Makima’s motivation and how it links back to her movie date with Denji (I thought that gave a lot of nuance to her character; the fact that that info came from Pochita gave it bittersweet touch despite how trivial it may sound on paper), and the ending coming in full circle with Denji’s growth.

The reference to Fujimoto’s oneshot too was pretty cool, though I think it’s also a callback to Nihei’s Abara (the protagonist is also called Denji, and a character named Nayuta too).

I hope they'll give a release date for the next chapter soon. It's fine if Fujimoto takes a break, he's earned it, but I just want to know.

I wonder what Nayuta will grow up to be like with Denji as her "dad". An obvious development is that she'll recover her memories as Makima in part 2, and will remain good thanks to Denji's influence.

I wonder if Denji's going to, as they say, lewd the loli. I mean, she is, in a sense, Makima.

Also, has he become a good cook? He's made an impressive array of meat dishes. Even if he's going through a vegetarian phase right now.

I guess that since Denji doesn't have access to Chainsaw Man's full power, he could only erase Makima's identity. The reveal Makima identified people by their smell took me by surprise. I wonder how Denji figured it out exactly. I liked the talk between Pochita and Denji a lot, even if I'm not that big a fan of making Makima one of those villains who just wanted friends. I can't wait for the sequel. Will there be a big timeskip as I suspect? __________________
