Errrrr. Not sure what to make out of this anime, but it was definitely fun to watch. I'm taking a guess but the middle schoolers are the modern generation of assault rifles while the high schools are popular rifles back in the world wars?

The high schoolers are battle rifles from the 50s and 60s.

The middle schoolers are assault rifles from, hm, the 60s and 70s?

Highschoolers are post-WW2 battle rifles. M14 is used since 1959 as same as G3 series, first half Vietnam War, M14 were used from both US infantries, South Vietnamese and even North Vietnamese (capture from US and South), M16 was used during second half Vietnam War (usually called AR15 by Vietnamese).

Spoiler for BTW, anyone know original guns of this Vietnamese gun? :

Has anyone here sampled both this show and Jormungand? Because there's a really funny piece of crossover fan art involving the two shows.

I have heard from various military forums that those guns could have been captured M16s from the Allied Forces in Vietnam, including the ARVN and reconditioned.

I think that's a variant of the CAR-15 and its probably classed as either an SMG or rifle in videogames.

@Cosmic: inb4 I assumed you single shot with just the iron sights

Yes....just iron sights...my unit will NEVER mount on a scope on our MGs....only professionals get the cool shit. Conscripts get the poor man's layout

That M-18 looks really like an AR-15 knockoff...The barrel length suggests CAR derived weapon though...

You know what I'd like, and I swear this is not an innuendo? Since the girls are anthropomorphized guns, they should actually be able to turn into guns. That way they could wield each other. Again, no innuendo intended. Just thought that'd offer a lot of opportunities for humor.

Anyhow, the second episode was great. The male teacher was hardly seen, and the hijinks were entertaining all the way through.

Hey, just wondering, how did you guys get your hands on those weapons or where did you fire them from? Military background or...just at the range?
