So since we're approaching fillers, where exactly is the end of this arc in relation to the manga? I might just start reading the manga to get over filler bore.

Mostly clips, but they earned it here. Pretty emotional moment even having read it before.

Pretty solid end to the conclusion of the arc. Minus some of the hax (learning frog jutsu in a week, Mass resurrection of the dead, etc) it was a good arc.

I think we are about due for some fillers but it is understandable at this point. The anime has been non-stop following the manga (with good quality as well) for a long time now.

Wow so many things happened...

Naruto is finally recognized by the entire village

Another alliance was made. Now the fire country is strongly allied with the sand AND rain.

Everyone was revived with some hax giga phoenix down/summon.

Naruto got a serious hug by his love interest.

Iruka sensi got to see one of his students rise to glory. As well as live it through him.

And what this? ITS NOT OVER.

We still have the "crazed sasuke" whose gone from revenge to EVEN MORE revenge. Who is IMO being manipulated.

We have Danzo or whatever his name is still plotting and scheming.

Madara still full of mystery and what not. Guess it relates to the uchiha line.

Naruto has yet to become the hokage...

Its all a big hype up to what seems to be an eventual clash between naruto and sasuke again. Naruto protecting those that have acknowledged him (which is the entire village), and trying to save sasuke who is gone rogue and wants to destroy the elders of konoha. Sasuke is a revenge addict and naruto's burden is heavy.

Now I'm convinced. She intentionally goes out of her way to piss me off. Other than that, I liked the episode. Best use of flashbacks I've seen in some time.

This episode gave me the same vibes I felt when I watched my friend beat MGS4 that means this episode is not only epic, its god like to the extreme!!

Wow really nice episode. Thought the animation/quality was superb.

Did anyone notice the ninja next to Iruka around 19:26? Dude had a priceless face lol.

I thought Shippuuden was about Naruto after time-skip. Why the hell are we back tracking? The manga is so far ahead of the anime too.

I wouldn't necessarily call it a bad ending, but I agree with you on Naruto not greeting Hinata. They really leave Naruto's side of the relationship out of the picture, even though Hinata is madly in love with him. Curious as to how Hinata will take it when Naruto inevitably ends up with Sakura.

Hinata never died. She survived. Ino or Sakura healed her. It was when Lee, Neji, Tenten and Gai returned. He asked Sakura while healing why she went so far...

Besides...Naruto is only chasing the ones he can't get. Ino..now she starts to fall for Naruto??..pfff man no offence but she sounded like a total sl...nevermind.

Having actually died is not very relevant, Oda does the same and makes it so cool that the coolometer readings fly off the scales...in this case, drama...but yeah, the entire village has been wrecked, and Naruto's never had a real conversation with Hinata.

I don't see why this was such a good episode. So the village has been wrecked, Naruto went through a lot of pain.... Not! Thanks to the magical wonder of the Dragonballs plothax, everyone is once again alive and all the drama of them dieing means absolutely nothing. I don't Kakashi should leave the series yet, but Shizune for example may just as well have stayed dead, just as the old frog, who virtually has no role in the plot anymore.

Also, this episode was flashbacks for the biggest parts, which is just a drama killer all the time. They spent a whole freaking episode about Naruto walking back to the village and getting praised.

Pretty much, this. I know it's full-on emotional and everything, but did they really have to go through aaaaall the flashbacks? Plus it got pretty ridiculous when they said:
-Jiraya sama is dead!
-OMG is Naruto ok?

I mean come on, Jiraya dies and the first thing they ask is if Naruto is ok!? At any rate, the episode did have its good points, gets a 70/100.
