Im glad im not the only one that had WTF written on their face. I see a major problem developing now. Istovan says he will make a name for himself in 3 years and get his own kingdom but he also said that Rinda would make him king when he was worthy. That is still a direct challenge to Remus who is exerting his influence even more. Istovan and Remus will have a showdown sometime in the future and Rinda will have to pick a side and im sure it will be Istovans.

But until Guin chimes and gives us the 411 on what the hell is going on im going curb my speculation a bit.

I'm just wondering if we'll see Istovan's return before the end of the series, or if it's something that happens past where the anime will stop adapting the novels.

I wondering that as well its very possible that we wont see him before it ends. 3 years is a long time even in anime however they could do more anime originals. Plus im not so dead set on Istovan and Rinda working out. There are too many variables flying around at the moment.

Once Mongol falls there will be power vacume with multiple side possibly fighting over the spoils.

I'm guessing no, unless they're going for an ending that doesn't follow the novel.

As for episode 19, I don't see what you guys are missing, they seemed to have skipped out the journey from one place to another but that's it, unless I'm missing something here.

No i had no problems with it. I was just saying, from the time the episode started until Guin explained what was going on at the moment, i thought they skipped quite a bit of novel material.

I don't think the Mongol will fall. IT easy to free a country that was invaded than to go and invade the Mongols. I also don't think that it will go well for Istavan and Rinda. Remember that Neris is still Rinda's fiancee even with the Amnelis fiasco. Neris will want something for all his suffering if he is to step aside and let Remus take the throne.

It's 16 volumes into 26 episode anime, of course they are gonna cut alot of scenes, Shakugan no Shana has 22 volumes and it didn't cover 16 volumes in 2 seasons...;/

Shakugan no Shana is going to have a 3rd season, though D: And while Guin Saga has only 26 episodes, Shana has had over 50 D:

Anyways, I'm freaking happy Remus didn't go the Raki route. I want HIM TO BE EVIL1!!!11!1! And a country can fall when its royalty fails. The heir to the throne is gone, the princess is heartbroken and potentially married off to a prince from another country and to my understanding there's no other heir. When the king dies, it looks like Aldo Naris might be the successor? Not sure how that really works, though.

don't count Amnelis out yet. going by the rumours, once she finds what Naris did and how he used her, she will become a ruthless leader for the mongols. about her love life, lets say that Naris left a huge scar on her and she has to find a way to deal with it.

Well, Naris has revealed himself and the mongols know he is alive. they free Paros with only one casualty, the traitor mongol. good things to come in episode 22, big fight between guin and a giant. Also Amnelis finds out what Naris did and thus the title for the next episode "Fukushiyuu no megami" The goddess of revenge= AMNELIS

Do you think when all is said and done she will really end up killing him? I wondering if she will be able to get close enough to strike.

Would i agree with Amnelis trying to kill him. Yep an eye for an eye i say but in the end it may leave her more empty than she was before.

She is not going to kill him, she is going to completely destroy Paros. What Naris did to her was in order to free the city from the mongols, what better revenge than to destroy that which he worked so hard to save.

well she did mention that she would utterly destroy Peros if he deceived her. I actually find this story more appealing than the Rinda and Istovan one. Well it seems the Peros army is intact and they have allies this will be an interesting battle if comes to that. You know for a while i actually started to pity then kind of liked Amnelis i still feel kind bad for her. Her first and only love ended up this way.

Yes, the mongols have the power to completely destroy the city, but they didn't want that. They want to conquer it. They even went as far as offering Amnelis to be able to get the city without bloodshed . I think Naris really made a big mistake. He should have killed Amnelis, but i guess he thought that a Woman would be of not consequences.
