Well, if there was any point to this episode aside from straight comedy and a some fanservice, it was beyond me. Probably the biggest thing accomplished this episode were some small ShidouxTouka flags raised.

Which is rather disappointing. They really could have used the extra time from this episode on the story and plot instead of what amounted to a largely pointless comedy episode. (we've already got comedy in the main story >.> )

But next episode it's back to the main story and plot, with the arrival of a new character.

And darn, no next episode preview in this raw either. Can somebody PM me where I can find it, because it's got to be out there somewhere and I'm expecting somebody next week.....

It's annoying the Nico and TV broadcast are on the same day. Makes the show harder to discuss.

Not much to say about episode 5. It was rushed and predictable. The next spirit should be an evil bitch in order to break this routine. Maybe that Kurumi girl everybody seems to be in love with. My favorite scene was Origami trying to seduce Shido. She was so aggressive

The new episode I'm currently watching in DAL is basically the hot springs equivalent of the sixth episode of Vivid Red Operation. It's clearly filled with cliché nonsense and the fact that everyone have their own mind of which group should go to hot springs in the first episode. The explosive action scene is pretty ridiculous when the AST soldiers must defeat the traps they fall for. Too bad Yoshino always panic for herself whenever her plush named Yoshinon dissapears. Kannazuki always look over to bath with other girls but is too bad warned by commander Kotori. The ending closes with everyone taking their own bath, but I was saddened by some censorship they put. However, I could say that I'm very excited that the next episode will feature a glorious yet sadistic clock-eyed heterochromatic female named Kurumi!

That was so absurd I don't know where to begin.... Oh well, I still found it very funny. Daikon missiles, lol. That's a Gainax reference I think.

And like everyone else is saying, KURUMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!! For the light novel volume 3 (Kurumi arc) was a giant step up from the first two volumes so hopefully the next episodes are spectacular.

When the big reveal came in the form of Commander Kotori letting slip he's connected to spirits, I was thinking, "Oh good, finally we'll have some real answers!" Nope, Mr Wonderful and Nice Guy just run into a hail of shotgun pellets to collect the next pokemon. Oh well, at least Tohka's character design is great.

Ooh boy. This one is a bit hard to answer.
First about Origami, even though I read the novel, we are only hinted that there's something much more to Origami but it hasn't been revealed yet. In terms of Kotori and explanation of Shidou's relationship with Spirits, I'm afraid the anime will never get there because considering the pace of the anime, it will stop at the volume before the main volume that will explain about that point and it's a huge spoiler. Oh, about Shidou and why he's so into helping these girls is that at first he was taken by a huge surprise at how "intensely beautiful" Tohka was yet in her eyes were also an intense feeling of sadness, loneliness, melancholy. He would then learn about her situation and then encounter a similar situation with Yoshino. As a result, he felt that he wants to help these Spirits who are lonely beings who simply just fight to survive even though they have done no wrong out of their own will. So... yeah he's pretty much a wonderful nice guy. I mean, we also help people who are in needs right? It's just Shidou's is OVER 9000!!

Yeah. This should have been reserved for OVAs and I would LOVE it. But using this to take a place of a Yoshino episode? Dang it.
