The eyes are only too big because he's a guy. Traditionally the guys have smaller eyes, especially when they are suppose to have a commanding presence (or GAR moments). Though Haruki should be of an age where it wouldn't be confused with a girl anymore....unlike Mitsuuru who might be from time to time...thus should get the larger, more expressive eyes.

I drew a few Seitenkan fanarts recently. These are based on some of the Haruhi character designs from KyoAni I've seen on Photobucket, as well as the height lineup that was posted in the genderbending thread a while back. I tried to make these as close to the originals as possible.
