Probably not as unlikely as you think I reckon - can't deny that Michael going for the Phoenix Cell makes you wonder for what reason he is interested in it in the first place, him thinking about using it to revive their dead sister is not impossible.

Doesn't seem to have any bad side effects to be honest. The Phoenix Cell even managed to revive Phil (which for all we know got chopped in half by Akatsuki in the form of Zahark). But then they've only revived bad/evil characters so far so can't say if the Phoenix Cell has any bad side effect mentally.

Hikami revived Phil and Tanaka using the Phoenix Cell. They fought Tiana and Onizuka.
While Phil didn't have the power of Zahark he is still relatively strong (he had to be to be able to make a contract with Zahark in the first place, think about that), plus the Phoenix Cell gave them infinite healing ability which makes it quite hard to beat/kill them, and the only way to do it is to rip the Phoenix Cell out from their body.

So the phoenix cell allows for true resurrection?
BTW, JPN Babel system is like any other Japanese school educationally, right? As in the rankings of students' test scores are made known to the students? If so, how did everyone react when they discovered that Akatsuki scored perfectly on his exams? Last edited by blackwhite67; 2012-10-11 at 17:32. |

From the looks of it so far - yes, though we don't know of any side effects.

Hey, cool! It looks like the manga took some liberties with the prologue, whereas it seems that the anime was more true to the source material in that regard..
That's interesting indeed! Thanks to the translator for getting the prologue done and giving something to whet everyone's appetite! |

Despite the grammar errors, it shed some light on things the anime just couldn't show. Besides, the book is always better when you are dealing with a two-faced character like Akatsuki. What he does and what he thinks are two different things.
By the way, although I can't read Japanese I don't mind spell checking or w/e. How do you sign up as an editor? |
