Its unfortunate, really. While its technically a loss for our favorite duo, we know it only happened because the race was rigged from the higher up, which still keeps Sei and Reiji at an unbelievable high skill level, especially since they won the last few rounds when Reiji's hands were damaged.

Also: I don't get how the scoring works at all. Ral mentions there are 12 fighters with perfect scores including themselves. They played the NINTH AND FINAL race. Assuming all events are worth 4 points (fine, we don't know that for sure, but its heavily implied because Luang Dallara, who only lost against them once, is in the next group of players), even if the 8 fighters that won the race are among the 12 best fighters (Luang won one of the races, but we know hes in the "second best group of players) Sei and Reiji will STILL be tied for 10th place worse case scenario, as opposed to falling all the way down to 17th.

Well, the new OP is great and the new ED.....sucks.

I guess performance-boosting abilities like NT-D and Trans-Am really aren't allowed in Gunpla battles, since we had Kyrios in the race with Sei and Reiji. But then how would you explain the Build Strike's discharge system?

Wouldn't it be easy to prove that the race was "rigged," though? Ral should be reporting it in because he saw the guy who was fixing the race, and it should be a simple matter to check the data to show that there was an unauthorized Gunpla logged in that attacked the Build Strike.

I'm not really sure if he's cosplaying Katejina; he may just be wearing a Zanscare pilot suit, because he was using that V2 Gundam with the wacky color scheme.

That V2 is colored after the Zanspine, a SD G Generation MSV of the V2:

In fact, I almost thought it was the Zanspine. Its only upon second viewing that I noticed its still the V2 because the heads and shoulders are different.

If anyone's curious about Reiji and Sei's skill data:

I honestly want to know what the RG system does. All we know is that it increases the strength of Star Build Strike's limbs, and it allows Star Build Strike to throw things at hypersonic speeds, which is insane(But then again, we had Sengoku Astray throwing his sword at super-long range to destroy missiles).

It also seems that X Maoh can fire its Hyper satellite cannon pretty much instantly.

ZANSPINE V2? OH MAN HAHAHAHA! That was beyond awesome. I am also siding with people that think the rule abuses are pretty out of control, you think SOMEONE would have count tenta-zeon at some point. Don't care for the new music that much, although it is better than what we had previously.

Oh, so the baldy was cosplaying as the old man Kagatie. It's still kinda strange seeing Kagatie-expy piloting a V2 Gundam with Zanspine color. Pretty odd combination

Like how early in the episode, it said the winner was the Maoh, Mercurius, and Star Build Strike when it was the Build Gundam MKII that Reji and Sei were using.....

Or the Kyrios builder/pilot didn't know how to use the Plavsky Particles to produce Trans-Am effect?

So far the anime has hinted that besides the standard features like moving plastic mechas, beams and explosions one has to think outside the box or in innovative ways to use the particles for desired effects. Just like how Niels want to find out the secrets behind the Plavsky Particles or how Maoh's X can shoot the Hyper Satellite Cannon without charging. Go back a few episodes and Sei was in a dead end when it came to upgrading Strike till he saw China's use of cotton and it opened his mind to new possibilities.

Wait a second... why didn't they just shoot Bucue out of the road in the end? Its not like fighting is illegal in the race. Better to risk that than hitting second place.

This look like someone was a bit too lazy to do maths while making the script to make it more believable.

Also seriously, they hired... a gunpl-assasin ?

I'm pretty sure they could find someone cheaper just to explode on of the kid head, even doing it while they were on the ring would still have been cheaper.
Or just hire someone to destroy their Gunpla, even cheaper

It would have been funny if the tentacle gundam showed on screen, "no we are absolutely not rigging this".

By the way, in that Gundario-Kart episode, why the Build Strike didn't have even a small weapon ?
With that speed and a small blade they could have just destroyed that last one.

PS: Don't worry, I do like that show, but this episode annoyed me a bit

My guess is that it would take time to redirect the plavsky particles to the weapons system and they might lose speed in the process.

There were twelve at the beginning of this episode, and there are now no more than 8 by the end, 9 if they count the twins as separate players.

That was a fairly entertaining episode. All the guys who said that that the SBS would win everything because its the MC's mech, you all blighted him...lol

To sum up all the points that stood out to me:

Ral is just shrouded in mystery isn't he? He seems to be very familiar with the gunpla underworld & also knows quite a few world class fighters.
Sei's mom is just... Can't get enough of her...XD
Well, the shipping is progressing at a steady pace, we've got Aila stalking Reiji now & questioning why he plays gunpla. My shipping meter is on fire. ReijixAila ftw!
The SBS is hax as fvck. Didn't realize it was that hax until I saw it racing. Those systems are not to be taken lightly at all.
Reiji is pissed & now he's gonna beast the chairman, looks like was catching onto the chairman's schemes.
That new OP is also nice. It has a very Gundam feel to it. The ED, I don't really like it. It just didn't appeal to me.

I'd say it was a pretty solid episode, it wasn't slow, it didn't rush things or drag & it made for a good 20 mins of entertainment.
