Bloody Hell...
|
Episode three was more tame on the nosebleeds and women attacking Ikuto. I'm glad they managed to find some humor in doing things other than fanservice and crazy manhunts as the entire thing. Not that I'm complaining, but it's good to have a little variety, you know? Of course, the constant regardless of type of humor is that it's all at Ikuto's expense. His pain is our entertainment. What a poor yet lucky fellow.
And I declare, if my memory hasn't skipped over anyone, Tonkatsu is the most awesome little piggy since Ryoga/P-chan. |

^ yea and it would be nice if he gets all the girls on the island tho that isnt going to happen :3 suzu is just destined to be together with ikuto ~ funny thing is if i were to be thinking scenarios on how this series is going to end its totally unpredictable

Watched ep. 3! Since subs are out, no reason for me to put it in spoiler no?
-> Every vegetables or fruits on that island are super size! Wow, that's probably good for a few weeks no? -> All animals were round. -> Rin's admirer means trouble for Ikuto. Oh well, that's not surprising. -> Speaking of Rin, she's really strong but scared of earthworms. Ah Rin's feminine side -> Suzu and Ikuto's moment is good. And speaking of Ikuto, getting eaten and spit out by the fake mushrooms....dunno if that was a good thing or a bad thing -> Random Ayane moment

Ep 3.
I think I can safely say I've seen better fanservice anime. Ironically, this thread's reaction to the carnivorous penis mushrooms is funnier than the carnivorous penis mushrooms themselves. Well, the concept of phallic vegetables (yes, yes, I know mushrooms aren't vegetables) in anime isn't a totally foreign thing to me after Tsuyokiss. I hate these boring characters...

Well, just my humble opinion, but dere-dere Rin in episode 3 is pure win.
Not best episode but not bad either, that island is inhabited by some very interesting animals and plants, and mushrooms. They are still introducing new characters, unfortunately Mikoto didn't spark my interest. Anyway, I'm prepared to take my hat off if they manage to make this 26 episode series (that happen on small isolated island) interesting. So far so good. What this fanservice series lacks is fanservice. |

In any case, this is a funny series to watch. As said, poor lucky guy Ikuto, it is every guys dream to land on island full of cute girls, but it is turning more like hell than heaven for him. |

i wont say they are boring but rather generic ~ it happens most of the times with harem series where each female character has a distinct generic personality so i guess it gets boring after a while ~ tho i like suzu's character quite a bit tbh :3
its the other way round i think ~ things have carmed down after that tournament so the hell part has already past...as ikuto spends more time adjusting to the island he might begin to think of it as heaven then the initial nightmare

But yea... while ep3 wasn't as exciting as the previous two, it was far from being boring. And they aren't that generic imo.

We've only just seen the characters, so I can't get how sorrow-k can say the characters are boring; many of them haven't even been properly introduced.
Maybe if these three episodes were all of Airantou that one could see, then you could say that the characters are boring, but there's ten manga volumes out in addition to these three episodes, so all I can say is just sit back and enjoy the ride. The character development bits will come.

That whole mushroom sequence was...disturbing. Freud would have had a field day, to say the least...
I would generally agree that 3 was a bit of a dropoff from the first two eps, but still generally enjoyable. I like Rin best of all, after Suzu - she's rather sweet and naive. Reminds me of a more innocent Kaede-neesan from Negima (same seiyuu, natch). |
