Oh, and how would I get the nero and other software I need for the burner? These burners can also burn and read every cd and dvd format available (cd-r, cd-rw, dvd+r, dvd-r, dvd+rw, and dvd-rw) except for dual double layered dvds and read them too rite?

"Four-Oh-Four"

Check your links, will you?

IMO, Pioneer and Asus have a reputation of being a bit more reliable than the rest, but you might as well throw it with a coin if you have already narrowed the selection to two.

By the way, "mini-disc" is the word of the future -just so sleeeek...

"Older" might be the reason to this, but the recent ones have got pretty good reviews...

I prefer Lite-On.

They make cheap to buy, but very well built and outsanding equipment.

I personally own the Lite-On 8x DVD +/- RW drive, and I will never buy another brand again.
