Be inspired by the sheer determination of professional go players to top their game.

Moshidora
What if a high-school girl were to use Drucker's theories to manage her baseball team?

Toshokan Sensou
For the love of books and intellectual freedom, take up arms against the evil thought police!

Or, if you have only five minutes to spare (you are supposed to be studying for exams after all...):

Out of Sight

I'll add Nodame Cantabile to the list; the perseverance and commitment of the musicians is as important to the story as the relationship between Nodame and Chiaki.

Now that you have so many options (and with Hikaru no Go at 75 episodes some long options), how will you ever get any studying done?

Kaleido Star - I think I started working out after watching this years ago, lol... *looks at puny arms and sedate lifestyle* I guess I need to watch it again...

Aria the Origination. Though you may need to see Aria the Animation first (and maybe Aria the Natural after that) since the Origination is technically Season 3.

Three young girls are training to become professional gondoliers in Neo-Venezia. While the first two seasons are mostly about friendship, the third season is dedicated to serious training and exams.

One part in Itazura na Kiss actually motivated me to study, for a while. Then i reverted back to my usual laziness.

Seconding Kaleido Star. The best motivational show if you ask me. Also check out Slam Dunk and Hajime no Ippo if you haven't already.

I wouldn't recommend these to watch while studying, as these tend to be kind of addictive, so watch them in a chunk before you plan to do a study session.

Other less well known ones:
Glass Mask (acting)
Ginban Kaleidoscope (skating)
Yumeiro Patissiere (baking)
Initial D (street racing, be careful not to get too influenced by it)

Hajime no Ippo almost motivated me to take up boxing.

I don't think you'll get any studying done while you're watching anime, though.
