First 44 mins is for Boogiepop. Guests are Aoi Yuuki (Boogiepop/Touka), Saorin (Nagi) and Reina Kondo (Kazuoko). Largely talks about the quirks of voicing each respective character and misc stuff like bringing visual settings up to speed from 20 years ago. Funny stuff though, people comparing Madoka as Boogiepop LN vol 22's (Panic-cute Kingcraft) release is also in winter. 2 manga titles are also OTW

In Russian-speaking territories (and French-speaking ones, I presume) it will be streamed by Wakanim if anyone interested.

Episodes 1 and 2 are out.
Pretty interesting start. I'm interested in seeing how much they plan to explore the human psyche and character emotions. Boogiepop is such a mysterious character. When it takes on the an apperance of someone else, I wonder how much they can understand their feelings. There's an eerie sensation about the story too although it's too early for me to tell how much it will develop over time. Theme songs are neat.

Well that was intriguing enough to go on my watchlist.
I think releasing the first two episodes together was a good move, as the second episode fills in a lot of the gaps, the stuff going on in the background that's hinted at but not made clear in the first. |

Yep this one is added to my list.
Is quite interesting how the structure of this series is presented to the viewer, for me it feels like the first episode is not something that happened before the second episode but something that took place after these events finally ended. The second episode back up this idea showing events that happened in different periods of time, like when echoes came to earth and Manticore's presence vs the Echoes we saw in the first episode looking quite different and somehow defeated. If what boogie says is right then Manticore is the one that is finally gone and that's the reason why Boogie can't stay in this world, well this is all speculation. For now Echoes, Maticore and Boogiepop(?) are entities coming from another world, this really feels like Parasyte but focused on a psychological aspect. |

Didn't realize this show is from 2000, I will probably go and watch the original version at some point.
I was very confused as to what was going on after the 1st episodes but now things make a lot more sense after watching the 2nd. I am quite into this, I like the mystery and drama and I am very interested to see what happens next.

That was pretty damn good, I must say. It's just layer on top of layer on top of layer. Every development builds on top of the other so seamlessly despite everything being out of chronological order. And every little piece of build up does well to make you want to know more. Along the way it manages to build some very down to earth characters as well. No stupid over the top caricatures: Everyone feels authentic (well perhaps Boogiepop is walking down the line).
I got some major Garden of Sinners vibes from the first episode, what with Boogiepops conversations with the dude feeling a lot like Male SHIKI's conversations with Kokuto. The second episode however was something else all together. Like a mix between Parasyte and Electromagnetic Girlfriend, which is especially great because I've always wanted to see more of the latter.

I'm glad they aired the two episodes back to back, it made it easy to understand how the series is going to be structured. The first episode on its own would have been frustrating. That was a pretty fascinating watch in any case. I'm dying to learn more about the characters and the world.
