What is the point of the Luck stat?

Luck, plain and simple.

For example, it helps in avoiding Gae Bolg.

Luck helped in Tsubame Gaeshi? I don't recall seeing that. All I remember is that Tsubame Gaeshi is pretty much considered as an attack that can't be dodged because it needs high agility to avoid, but because there's nobody faster than Assassin, and it's three attacks in one, it's really impossible to dodge.

Luck helps avoid Gae Bolg because you need it to dodge not the attack, but the reverse of causality that comes into play.

In the anime, the landing on the staircase was not wide enough for Sasake to complete his infamous hiken, and Saber managed to escape the 3rd slash. I'd call that luck.

Luck = the innate ability to overcome adverse destiny despite all odds.

Very useful against curses (like Gáe Bolg) and that sort of stuff. A funny way to justify why some very unlikely things happen.

So, guys I was looking at some news at Moonlit World(a fan site dedicated to Type-Moon)and I found this:

"December 24, 2005
Merry Christmas! I hope you were able to pick up the English Tsukihime Manga Vol.2 because it's out and it kicks ass. The Fate Anime begins January 6th on the earliest TV station in Japan and it will be 2 seasons long. (24-26 episodes). I'm definitely looking forward to this!"

Is this information correct? I know that this news is old, so I start searching for info, but I haven't found anything...

Yes, it was. Two 'seasons' of twelve to thirteen episodes each, being as 24-26 is in effect two seasons in length... at least as we define 'season' for anime (cours).

Oh, I see. My mistake. I thought the anime was going to have 2 seasons one with 24 episodes and another with 26 episodes. XD

IIRC, the horrible luck leaders were Rider (D under Shinji, E under Sakura), Lancer (E), True Assassin (E) and everybody's favorite anti-hero Archer (E). And Avenger too, probably.

Saber had good luck in all her incarnations, although it's true that as Black Saber it dropped a bit.

Anyway, E-ranked luck would still be far above a normal person. They're heroes after all.

Fate/Stay Night. The game. It has 3 ending routes. The game the anime is based on.

Reality Marble - the ability to project a temporal "inner world" of a Magus within the real world. This is limited by the Magus' mana and the ability to keep up his projection. Also, the order of the world is always trying to crush reality marbles whenever born, hence one needs a strong will to kep reality marbles up.

Marble Phantasm - The ability to bend the rules of the world to one's advantage. It can even work within a Reality Marble. Unlike Reality Marbles, where one forces his "will" to create his own temporal world within the real world, one bends the world's order in order to subjugate it to her whims. Speaking directly about Arcueid, cause she's the one with this ability.
