Spoiler for P2P 05 - Living Catnip:

The punishment games are my favorite skits this series is providing. You can count on this group to play the game in a way that skirts the borders of reality, and always turns into something that's a pure expression of fun. My statements from previous weeks hold up - Mayoi is my favorite character in this show. A love of bad puns, a love inciting chaos... for someone whose eyes we've never seen, she's making a really strong impression. (And apparently gained a cup size or two for this week's gag. The art style never even showed chests, so seeing that was a little weird. But not bad.)

The picnic segment was a lot of fun. It was very Hidamari Sketch. (This whole show is very Hidamari. The way they use graphics with the arrows and circles and icons representing characters represents the Shaft aesthetic that went into Hidamari and Zetsubou - the shaft that I know and love). Io is apparently human catnip, commanding them as the Pied Piper commands his rats. I think Tsumiki actually got a little jealous. Though that does explain why she's drawn to him. Like a cat, like a cat to Io.

This show is becoming a wonderful replacement to KMB, with, now that I'm further into it, a fairly similar sense of humor.

I'm surprised at how easy this show is to keep watching. A lot of gag shows that trade on physical and romantic comedy can drag really badly, but Acchi Kocchi hits so fast and furious that I never have the chance to get bored. The only other show of this type that I can say that about is Yuruyuri.

It seems that with Hime reaching a level of self-awareness that has her stepping aside when the competitions start up, it falls to Mayoi and Sakaki to take the bulk of the lumps in her stead. Clearly they're running on an "unlimited lives" cheat code. I laughed at poor Sakaki taking the double tap from the frisbees.

I love this show. It's definitely the same style of humour as Kill Me Baby, but that show never really worked for me (unlike the manga). Whereas this show finds new ways to make its memes funny every week. Some real laugh-out-loud physical humour this week. Io is terrific, only partly thanks to Okamoto Nobuhiko. And Tsumiki is such an enthralling combination of sweetness, aggression, and lust. The head-biting is great.

I think someone needs to create RPG stats and classes for each character. Tsumiki has high STR, Io has high DEX (spinning objects), Mayoi has high INT etc. Not sure who has highest AGI and LUK Saki maybe? Hime has lowest stats for everything especially nosebleed RES stats.

Forgot to mention that I got the chance to listen to the OP/ED singles. The OP has a b-side duet called "Acchi Kocchi Mainichi" that is actually really cute, and pleasant to listen to.

It depends on what rules you follow, but FIVB rules make it so you can practically use any parts of your body, as long as you do not touch the ball again until it goes over to the other side.

Another episode, and Io continues to be one smooth guy. Like Mayoi, I didn't expect him to actually pat her head and comfort her.

I think the only reason why Mayoi didn't pass out from a nosebleed in ep4 like the rest of the girls is because her bangs shielded her eyes from Io a bit.
