Sansha Sanyou (Three-person Trefoil)

Slice of life 4-koma 'Sansha Sanyou' (known as Three-preson Trefoil) is getting an anime adaptation.

Plot Summary:
Quote:
Sansha Sanyou is a 4koma manga featuring three hilarious characters: Odagiri Futaba, Hayama Teru, and Nishikawa Youko.

Futaba is the new transfer student with a super energetic personality, Teru is the class president with a surprisingly mean personality contrary to her innocent looks, and Youko is from a formerly rich but now extremely poor family, who still holds on to her princess attitude.

These three unlikely students with clashing personalities become good friends and survive the day to day life of teenage life in a very funny story.

Episode 1:

A cute show for sure so far but I can't see much more to it than that for now.

Yoko's a shy girl imo but I think she's getting along fine with her friends. What a priceless ending as well. I'm surprised this is a full length show in some ways. Also, the artwork is pretty much exactly what I had expected by Doga Kobo.

I like the OP and ED. Anything else was ok, nothing groundbreaking. It does feel like what one would watch on a sunday.

Ep 01

Now see, while the subject material is classic Kirara manga variant material (and that is good and fine in my book) the animation style is totally Doga Kobo - and I happen to be a big fan of the animation style they have cultivated over the past few years, so an extra plus for me.

The character dynamic and interactions are enjoyable and gel together very nicely and quickly, a must for this sort of story. Yup. This will definitely be a keeper for me - light-hearted fluff once again, yes, and nothing groundbreaking or the like, but I will definitely enjoy it.

Finally a series with the main character using the classic ojou voice.

This series is amusing. Both OP and ED are solid (visuals + songs). The character dynamic is very enjoyable I thought and surprisingly there's a male character who adds more hilarity value. It reminds me a bit of Anne Happy and feels a bit like Pan de Peace in full length as well. Finally, damn it I became very hungry after the episode.

I liked this a lot more than Anne Happy (which didn't grab me at all), and I'm interested to see where it goes with the reason Yoko is now poor.

Nothing out of the ordinary, though the animation was... really fluid. Overly fluid at times. But it wasn't a bad watch overall. The character designs really improved from the original work.

Oh wow, this was kind of different from the usual Kirara fare (and shows its vintage -- this started out in 2003, people!), but I can see the bits and pieces of humor here that would eventually make themselves known in Engaged to the Unidentified.

Episode 1:
Kudos to Dogakobo for this adaptation despite having the manga being published back in 2003!

Now then, it reminds me of Yuyushiki and seems that the three girls will do cute and mundane things... unless Mitsugu Yamaji barges in much to Yoko's horror!

The Ojou sure works hards. Hang in there, Yoko. You can do it!
Glasses girls is a cool girl to have around as a friend. Would hang out with.

So i take this is sort of the granddaddy of the entire cute SoL stuffs Kirara known about? Kirara itself launched at 2002.

Not exactly, though it's pretty close, almost right at the start.

Heck, I'm not sure I've ever seen any of the 4koma Kirara series break eight volumes, yet Trefoil stands at eleven.

It is twelve right now with Mikakunin serialized in parallel, that's nothing short of amazing
That said, the author sure has god working relation with Doga Kobo. (S)he got two of her manga adapted by them.

For some reason the series now reminds me a bit of nichijou. I think it is voice acting of Futaba causing it. She reminds me of Yuuko.
I'm surpised to see that the show goes beyond the school perimetres. Espisode two was definitely better than the first one.
