there is something that got me thinking, what ever happened to the announced MG Unicorn Gundam Full Armor Mode? Bandai said they will have it out this year.

They're probably waiting until it appears in the OVA.

I'd personally prefer an MG to go with the Hi-Nu.

you'll get to see the shipping costs before you hit the accually 'purchase' button. so you'll have to put your items in the carts and goto checkout.

Do you buy your kits locally or online?

Online. Were I live, GunPla is pretty much unknown, sadly. So I usually buy from HLJ or hobbysearch.

Thereīs one online-shop in germany, though, but their way more expansive than importing the kits. They also have a very limited amount of the kits in their sortiment. They do have Hi-Nu, but for 125 €

well, those ARE pretty big boxes... and thats what makes shipping so expensive! and HLJ really isnt too bad with shipping. they are cheaper than any other store i have seen so far! and even if their shipping is expensive the kits are still cheaper there because of their "our price" system. all bandai kits are permanently 20% off because of that :P
AND they always have special offers on specific shipping options. EMS is almost always 20% off, fedex is always 50% for new PGs... so if you order a MG kit via EMS there you save 20% on the kit AND 20 on shipping. i dont think you can save more money at any other shop!

Yes, i agree. HLJ are very reliable and i donīt find the shipping costs that high. Unless you buy a whole bunch of kits, of course, than then costs will skyrocket

the most i bought there was 2 kits and 2 action bases :P and shipping was still pretty moderate.
but yeah, if you order a ton of kits or one huge model like the 1/144 dendrobium you gotta reach down your wallet a little bit further XD

HLJ isnt bad at all. The only thing that gets you nowadays is the conversion rates. Since the $ has fallen against the Ĩ recently (last time I checked it was 1 USD to 83 yen.) Even though I am in NY and have a store 20 mins away to buy the kits, they upcharge everything and it usually ends up being cheaper to just go through HLJ and wait the week to get to my house.

Well, I just checked their website. 30 % off on most kits, thatīs quite the bargain. Next time I want to order new kids, I will definitely check hwjapan first. And thanks for the tip
