Frankly this has gone on for too long while its had its moments it drags fights out worse then any manga i've seen in a while

Good riddance. It's gone on so long that even the fanservice went flaccid.

Hopefully the mangaka will learn from this series and not write such an awful device as 'master' class next time. When you have a set of characters who are basically invincible, there's no sense of danger or excitement, hence it becomes boring.

oh well, turns out I couldn't have been further from the truth. Too bad, unless Matsuena writes a sequel where aliens arrive from a different planet who are looking for the Elder because he was supposed to wipe out mankind so they could sell the planet

I don't think the intention of the mangaka was to write a dramatic story where there needed to be a sense of danger. It was a sexy, lighthearted, fighting romcom.

wonder if the epilogue will be a everyday life of disciple Kenichi ending or if there will be a time skip showing master level Kenichi with his wife Miu while his friends are the new masters of Ryouzanpaku.

Question, did this get axed? I know it's been dragging for a long time now, but there are still a few things that could have been addressed...one more chapter is just so sudden.

The mangaka left himself plenty of wiggle room to write a sequel. All the "villains" have escaped, one even almost literally says "You haven't seen the last of me!". If it got axed he could have tied things up neatly with all or at least most of them ending up in prison. Perhaps he just wants an extended vacation for a few months until he starts drawing the sequel.

Perhaps. This fight showed Kenichi was getting quite a bit skilled to still be considered a disciple. The story isn't technically finished which means that a sequel could be made to finish things off. It would be difficult to continue at this point with the current title.

Well not sure what to think of this announcement. Finding out that the next chapter is going to be the final chapter when reading something is quite a surprise.

Would have thought it woudl be a few weeks notice minimum.

Suppose its better than thinking Naruto is going to end any moment now and dragging on for like 3 years.

Has the author stated what his intentions are after this? New series, a sequel, a prequel?

Welp...I sure didn't expect it to end next week...or to have it end without actually solving anything since all this did was win a battle and not the war >_>
Ah well, despite the drop in quality and the rise of the boner...I mean ecchi, I still love this manga every week and will be sad to see it end on such a note.

Premisse: Kenichi and Miu get together, have a child and the newborn is already stronger than Kenichi with an in-born Ki sening ability. Sounds realistic to me

Currently kenichi is History's Strongest Disciple after beating most of Yomi males by himself. If that was the point of the manga then well, it doesn't need a sequel. Granted he hasn't fought the Yomi females , but Kenichi is no Ike Turner so who is a stronger disciple?

I know he's Expert class, but he's still a disciple of Ryōzanpaku.
