There's no point in making a tutorial for something that's built in.
You have a Lens Flare filter in Photoshop.

Are you thinking of something other then a generic flare?

At some point in the past the question how to get the PS grey in windows was raised.
More precicely weather there was a interface option or not. The answer then as now is: "No! there is none."
Thinking about it there does appear to be a workaround for the problem.
Unfortunatly I've forgot ever since to post it here. (opssy~)

The solution is simple,
Move your work to the desktop. There is also a small advantage in that you can drag and drop things easier into photoshop.

I dont see any problem with posting them as images but make sure they are thumbnails to save bandwidth

Hi everyone!

I'm kinda new here and I just have one slight question after being redirected here from the Avi Request Thread (Thanks Shana ^^) lol =P

Anywayz onto the question: "Is it normal once you have saved your gif that the animation or frame rate is somehow slower?" Because that's what happened to the avatar I'm using atm. But the thing is, the animation/frame-rate is absolutely fine when I open it with ImageReady(to work on and whatnot) but outside of ImageReady it's not(twice as slow).
This is the first time that I've made an animated gif, so I'm confused nyoro~n

Nyoro~n,

It may have something to do with your explorer, what explorer do you use? remember that in IE the timing might be OK, but at Firefox it would look faster/slower.

Same thing happens in Opera too, thanks for the suggestion nonetheless =/

Although after messing around with the frame-rate in ImageReady and comparing it to here, I've found out that there's around an extra 0.065 second delay, no matter what i set it as =/ But i guess it's not so much of a big deal, if there's nothing i can do about it, it's not like the whole worlds gonna blow up or anything lol =P

Its called a browser, and Firefox is perfectly fine... however the issue could be that when your viewing the anim in Photoshop that its not playing as fast/slow as the actual time thats set... but that's probably obvious :/

I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, but I saw Photoshop Elements 6.0 at the store and was thinking about getting it to make Sigs/Avies,etc. But I didn't know if it came with ImageReady aswell or was it only in CS3? Or is Elements still good enough to do things like that?
Thank you.

Photoshop elements is the Photographer-Only edition of photoshop. Sort of what free programs out there offer you only you have to pay for it. Some specialist magazines seem to like advertising it, no idea why, I guess the editors like how it feels like photoshop. Well, just my personal take on it.

ImageReady was a addition to photoshop (some time around version 2.0 or 3.0) meant for web development. Back then, the web was leaning towards table design, but now with Dreamweaver owned by Adobe as well as the move towards Css paged design, the program was labeled a dead end and thus most of the features were moved to Photoshop. Needless to say the performance and usability of old is severely lacking.

You mean make that transparent? Convert the "Background" layer into a normal Layar. Take the magic want tool, click on the white to select it, press del.

If you wish for the white contour, continue as follows: (with the wand selection still active) go to Selection > Inverse, then go to Edit > Stroke. In the dialog box specify it as a outside stroke, select the color white and the stroke-width you wish.
