Well, I wouldn't say I like stories being spoilt, but it is sometimes nice to know a bit about a story before you start.

Indeed. In fact, from the looks of it, it seems that Season 2 has more character designers than Season 1 (don't quote me on that, though).
Just judging by the back cover: (Click thumbnail for full size.)

Just got my copy a few days ago and finished reading
A few bits of information: Season 2 includes: 2 (massive) chapters to conclude Arc 1 3 (rather long) chapters of Arc 2 (of course it ends in a cliffhanger). This one has a lot of twists but in the end, these 3 chapter feel more like a introduction to the real deal in season 3 (even though it's quite entertaining) We have 4 new main character Oliver Nina Charles Rapunzel Spoiler for Comments about season 2, be WARNED!!!!:
Since I won't feel like reading all over again when season 3 comes out (and I'll probably have forgotten most details when August comes, 7 months from now), I took note of the main points of season 2, so I think I could make a summary of the story, maybe. But since people didn't even read season 1, I guess it will be useless I could do that when Witch-Hunt releases season 1, though

Natsunishi Nana (RGD Season 2 Manga artist - currently being published in GFantay magazine... I think she also designed Charles and Nana.) Momoyama Hinase (Higurashi Minagoroshi-hen artist, Umineko EP6. She designed Hsiao-Lan.) Takagi Tsuyoshi (Artist of RGD spin-off manga Aishuu no Cross Knife. Currently being serialized in Big Gangan magazine.) |

Alrighty, arguably took longer than we wanted, but I guess people know already we aren't going to beat around the bush or postpon for the hell of it.
Anyway, there we go: The full English Patch for Rose Guns Days: Season 1 is now available. The patch can be found with the following links: Installer version can be used regardless if you have already installed the game or not. In case you didn't, please use your DVD. Installer-free version is still at your disposal: as usual, please move the "[WH] RGD English" folder directly into the installed game folder. Important Note: The patch is -not- compatible with Rose Guns Days Season 2. Another installer will be available in the future, but as of now, please use Season 1 only. As usual, if you find any issue be it typo, mistakes, bugs whatsoever, please report it to us with the appropriate details (location of the said issue, and your computer setup if necessary). Season 2 translation has started as well.

Finally finished the game. Such a nice way to end the chapter too >.> Now I really can't wait to see RGD 2
The last battle scene was awesome though... I thought the minigame would become boring after a while but it turns out to be quite addictive. Although sometimes my mouse stopped working during the minigame and it hurts my score

It's out! Thanks so much everyone at WH. I just finished the thing after marathoning it in between classes and homework. I held off on playing the game until the translation was out, so this was the first time I got the full experience.
I have enough thoughts to write an entire review on season 1, but basically what I'll say is that it went above and beyond the expectations I had from the demo. Not perfect (nothing ever is) but I am very impressed. The themes manage to be thought-provoking despite being very different from Ryukishi's previous works. Really excited for season 2 now. I notice that dai seems to be reusing a few tunes from Umineko, hmm? "Kaze" seems to be partly a "Hope" remix, and I swear I heard "Happiness of Marionette" in "Black Knight." Not that I'm complaining, mind, I just didn't expect to hear Umineko in my RGD. Highly impressed with the soundtrack, though, as is usual for 07th Expansion. Also, regarding the season 2 profiles, something caught my attention... Spoiler for end of season 1:
One last thing... no matter how much of a freak Miguel is, I can't hate him for it. I just can't dislike a man that carries a pink revolver. |
