Just saw that NHK-E news mentioned on http://www.shinonome-lab.com/. Not bad it is terrestrial station, so they are probably trying to pull in a new audience. I really hope they will succeed, because everyone should watch this series, not just hardcore peeps with payTv subscriptions.

Well DVD 7 should be were things change as that was pretty much where the opinions of people on this show changed as well.

One wonders what they will change for the 12 episode version of this series...and if it will be received better the second time around?

Looks like there will be no NA release of Nichijou, or anything else from Bandai.

Damn. I was really looking forward to this one.

Your misreading as they'll still be licensing, but distribution and probably all the other work will be sub-licensed to other companies so a release will still be in the books it's just the wait for another company to take it up that will most likely hold things up.

Haven't seen it yet but Nichijou's NHK-E broadcast has started. Apparently episode 1 blazed through the entire first-cour of the series. Guess Nano goes to school in episode 2.

I don't think that one was part of the original series. If I remember correctly, Jan-Ken-Pon was only in the first seven episodes and the final one, and I just checked those episodes and none of those segments is like the one you described.

Also, where are you watching them?, I can't find them. Or when does it air?

I found a Chinese sub group that's doing the subbing for this. So I just get my hands on them and take a quick look.

I wonder what other "not shown in the original series" stuff will be available.

Just a reminder that Crunchyroll is still streaming the original series so let's not link to or be specific about other subbing sources.

Are they streaming the "newer content"? Assuming there is any.

I did find this AMV amusing. Mainly because "Jan Ken Pon" with Nano and the Professor is a happy memory. And I don't find the techno or whatever beat to be overpowering the Nichijou music and remixed dialog. Though I don't enjoy it until about 30 seconds into it.

Just so people know the Australian release is still going ahead as it didn't acquire the license from bandai, but it is likely to be a sub only release
