The game itself runs fine, it's just that onscripter-en won't work. I've read the readme file over and over, and gone through most of the pages, but I still can't run the file. The folders seem to be in the right places too. What's the problem?
I have the same exact issue. Can someone help me with this? I've been driving myself nuts trying to figure it out.

"This" patch? Please be more accurate.
In any case, we have no proper ETA for the update, nor for Episode 5 though you can at least expect 3 months for the latter.

Do you know if you'll be doing 1/2, 1/3, or whatever patches for Episode 5 yet?

It should be either 1/2 or 1/3. We won't split the patches more than this.

Oh, pop quiz!

1st is clearly PNG and 2nd is JPG, with the second image being quite noticeably pixelated in some areas of the picture, but speaking as a gamer, taking into account that I pay very little attention to the art, then I don't mind if the images are compressed in that format. However, it goes without saying it's a different story if it affects the text too, but judging from the two screenshots, it doesn't seem to be a problem.

I usually play my games on full screen mode, so who knows whether it might stretch the pixels horribly.

What service pack and is it home premium?
If not, have ya tried running as admin, mine freezes up for a second at the start but then it rolls smooth.

Maybe he changed tools from one that used .jpeg by default to one that used .bmp by default.

Still, I can't see any benefit to using .bmp over .png. (Unless he wants to annoy downloaders.)

Since I don't want to be spoiled by the Episode 5 thread, I will ask this here. How long is End of the golden witch compared to the previous Episodes?

End of the golden witch is somewhat 10-20% longer than Episode 3, so shorter than Episode 4.

Then again, EP 4 would probably be around the same size as EP 3 if it weren't for the long Ange-Maria flash backs that took up half the entire game.

It would probably be shorter, even.

In terms of the translation job, though, it's not like we get to slack on them

How can't you see that? °° At full screen is very evident.
It is already a bit noticeable beforehand but once you zoom it - meaning to go fullscreen on most monitors - it is pretty noticeable.
That is why - if you can't use higher resolutions - I would say that you should use PNG as the size difference between JPEG and PNG won't be too bad anyway.

Actually, you can. Especially between the text lines you see JPEG artefacts. There should only be one color but there are pixels with "different colors" (that is what people before have called grainy).
Of course, not everything is because of JPEG. Most things are because you zoom the image BUT that and some other things like this are because of JPEG compression.

And as Jan-Poo said monitors are quite big now and therefore when using fullscreen such things are pretty easy to notice. Especially, if you are reading the text which the whole VN is about

Please understand, I don't mean to be rude because I do believe you know what you're talking about, but as I said, that discussion is over, just because having it wastes far more of our time than converting the images to a different format.

OK. I just wanted to point out that you can actually see it when playing Fullscreen.
Well, of course, it probably won't matter too much anyway as it is not like the VN would be unreadable or the graphics would be extremely ugly because of it, so it definitely is still "playable" - even with JPEG.

Anyway: Thanks for doing the translation of Ep5 and hopefully the remaining eps that will be released (and of course for those that are already done and the updates to come for them).

Thank you.

Right here. It even has the raw Japanese for EP5, which is kinda cool.
