Now then in the true art of being lazy I'll say Satashi-sama has spoiled you all enough so I don't have to do a short! Bwhahahahahah!

Vivio looked up at Nanoha curiously as she parted with Fate, bending over just enough to peck each other's lips. "....Well..." the blue haired girl swallowed when the pleading eyes of her superiors gazed at her. "Yes, Vivio, Aunties kiss just like Mamas, see?" Without any other warning, she bent over and pecked Tia's lips. "Just like that, see?"

Vivio blinked, tilting her head to the side as Tia felt her face turn several shades of red. "But... Mamas touch their tongues too."

"What!?" Tia turned and glared as the two leaders whistled innocently.

"Do... Do Mamas do weird things...?"

"No!" Tia shook her hands, looking into the wide innocent mis-colored eyes. "Ah, mou! Captain Fate, you owe me lunch!" Tia grabbed Subaru and pulled her close, shoving her tongue into the girl's mouth so Vivio could see. "I'll see you later, sweetheart." Her eyebrow twitched.

Subaru was beaming. "Bye bye, daring!"

Vivio smiled happily, running to Nanoha and reaching for her hand. "Mama, mama, can you kiss me too!?"

Nanoha smiled, bent down, and kissed Vivio's cheek. "There you go Vivio."

"But," Vivio pointed to Tia. "I want a kiss like that...."

Tia crossed her arms. "Yes, Nanoha-mama, she wants a kiss like that. Let's see it."

Fate crossed her arms as well, giving a lopsided smile. "It's going to be a difficult lunch break..."

"Um..." Nanoha laughed nervously.

Fate rubbed her eyes, wiping away light tears. “I had a nightmare,” she stated the obvious. “Scaglietti capture me...” She looked down at her lap. “I was put in one of those tubes...”

“Fate-chan...” The worst possible thing for her happened in her dreams that night. No wonder she was terrified. “I know something that will help.” She looked at me again, face so sad I wanted to join her crying. “Close your eyes.” She did as I requested and I slowly leaned forward, kissing her lips gently. Fate allowed the action for several seconds before finally pulling away and bringing two fingers to her mouth.

“You... kissed me.”

“Not just any kiss,” I informed her in a soft whisper while picking her up to carry back to the bed. “A magic kiss. It will prevent any bad dreams.”

Fate blushed darkly as I laid her down. “I'm not four, Nanoha.”

Sliding in the bed next to her, I reached up to cut off both lights before cuddling her. "Maybe not, but I'll still protect you." I pulled her to my chest and kissed her hair.

Ever so slowly Fate put an arm around me and relaxed. That was the first night that we slept arm in arm... But Every night after I found gentle eyes and an open invitation for an embrace from her.

And from then on, we shared a special good night kiss that only the two of us knew about.

I will have to correct this. When I premiere Maho Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Alpha here in the FF thread, it will be chock full of OCs (considering its birthplace). Much of the focus, however, is on the main cast, and I will take the time and the effort to explain some of the OCs represented, such as Aurion Dauer (an important figure in the whole thing, and especially in Hayate's plotline), Keroko G. Takamachi (who is popular enough to become a Canon Character in her own right. I'll try to summarize her the best I can without losing the appeal of her character), Tesla Yagami (Similar to how Keroko is one of the aces, Tesla is a new Wolkenritter; see the previous parentheses), and many others.

The point is, when you read about these characters in the plotlines I'll reveal to you, you won't be confused, and you might actually enjoy reading it. All of you will catch a glimpse into my version of the MSLN future universe; a place wrought with life, death, angst, happiness, danger, safety, love, hate, pain, pleasure, and everything in between.

Maho Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Alpha will have the largest cast of characters of any story I've ever written, even if it's a character who shows up to give a certain bit of information before disappearing for a few chapters.

I'm going to write four arcs that bleed into one arc in the second half. The first arc is Out of Darkness/Into Light, which focuses on a different side of Nanoha, and gives the story a slightly angsty edge to it. The downward spiral of her relationship with her daughter Vivio, the pain of loss, the loss of trust, the trust that was never there, and all manner of things as such. Nanoha is very dark in this arc, but as the second half suggests: "Even after the darkest nights, morning always comes."

White Tempest is the second arc, focusing entirely on Hayate and supporting characters. Simply put, I'm taking her and escalating her to a more proper level for someone of her caliber. Hers is a story of technical wonder, as the reader learns things I've made for the world of Nanoha, including the titular source of this arc, The White Tempest.

The Third arc is mostly OCs, called The Birth of Omega, and provides the backdrop for the events that surround the 2nd and 4th arcs, as well as having its own story. I won't spoil details, simply because I can't

Finally, the Fourth Arc, while the shortest, brings the reader explanations. The hows and the whys, what's going on, and so on. Focusing on the unlikely trio of Fate, Verossa, and Teana, the Investigation of Sin arc, the reader discovers the truth, and the consequences of knowing the truth.

That intervening arc style story telling is frightenedly similar what I had planned for the second book of my fic

Though I don't know much about Syn I have to say this is a lovely short. I'm guessing they have a "stand by your side" thing going on. If thats the case now Vivio wouln't have to hate that day as Syn is standing a little closer.

"Mou... why do you always convince me to do these things?" "Oh come on, it's a day about you, V." Vivio Takamachi flushed and looked away. "I-it's not about me, Syn..." The day was called Sankt Kaiser Day, a holiday celebrated on Midchilda that served as an analogy to Earth's Valentine's Day. Though the myths and legends surrounding it were different, the concept remained the same: to give someone you love something special. To Vivio, who had never even had a boy look at her in a way that suggested attraction, coupled with the focus on her - that is, the Sankt Kaiser - caused her to simply despise this day. Her best friend and companion, Syn Virage, decided to change that. Thus, the two were on a date. Not a "real" date, per se, but more of a girl's night out. Though if you listened to Syn's offhand comments as they got off the bus, it was a date date. "For real," even. "Sure it is!" Syn smiled and punched her friend lightly in the arm. "Now come on, cheer up! There's this place I wanna take you!" "Where is it?" Vivio asked, sounding completely unenthused. "Oh, it's mega-cool!" Syn exclaimed, smiling brightly at the blonde. "You'll love it!" "Somehow, I doubt that," "Oh, just come on!" Taking Vivio by the hand, Syn took off, running as if on fire. None of her usual aggressiveness was there though; instead, she was laughing and smiling as she pulled the her friend along, the very image of a happy girl who had a good life. In essence, the total opposite of Vivio. In practice, something else. "I don't like this!" Vivio shouted as she was pulled along, nearly losing her grip on Syn and, oddly, not wanting to lose that grip. She tightened her hand on Syn's as they ran, finding her own two feet catching up to Syn's slowly. "You will, I swear!" Syn said to her as the two burst out of pedestrians, onto the crosswalk. The same crosswalk with was currently not accepting pedestrians, and the same one that a car was about to pass, bearing down on the two. The car slammed on its brakes, but it was too little. All Syn could think of to say was, "Oh shi-" as she stared wide-eyed at the car before slamming her eyes shut. An impact never came though, only the feeling of going up, and her arm being pulled up as well. When Syn opened her eyes, she found herself hanging a few dozen meters from the ground. Looking up, she saw that Vivio had grabbed Syn's hand with both of hers and pulled them straight up, leaping into the sky as easily as her mothers. "..." Syn was actually quite amazed. She didn't think Vivio could react that quickly. "Vivio..." "You're going to get us killed," The blonde replied, her face twisted in annoyance and relief. Syn just smiled up at her, the tension gone suddenly. "What?" "...I can see up your skirt, and I see aoi no pantsu," Syn said, grinning. Vivio dropped Syn. The blue-haired girl caught herself and touched down gently as Vivio began to fly off, paused, then landed as well. "...sorry," Vivio muttered, looking away. "Hey, it's okay," Syn took Vivio's hand again. "I shouldn't have said that. I know you're in a bad mood," "I just... really, really, hate this day." "I know," Syn replied. "But I'm going to make you like it, at least for one night, okay?" "I don't know what you could possibly do," Vivio said, her eyes still averted. "I'll show you," Syn led Vivio down the sidewalks of Midchilda silently, hand in hand, on a mission of the most important sort, at least to her. She ignored the looks - well, the mean ones, anyway - that the two received, while Vivio ignored everything but her own footsteps altogether, trying to forget that she had just let go. If she couldn't fly... Syn had already forgotten about it. She worried instead on her directions. The city was big, and the two had gotten as close as Syn wanted to from her destination. The idea was to get where she wanted to go, just in time for the big event. Well, possibly the big event. But this was the year. This was the day. This was their adventure, and she wanted to share everything about her half of it. As Vivio spaced out, Syn led her to a place that was sacred; a Saint Church-run park that served as one of many Sankt Kaiser monuments. This one was special, in that only members of the church could attend, and so as the two stepped on the hallowed ground, everything was suddenly quiet; this place was rarely populated this time of day. Syn continued to lead Vivio to a place, a special place, and one that she had secured earlier. It was a lake, in the center of the park, and the place was a certain spot, secluded from everyone and everything, except the moons, the sky, the stars... "Hey, V," Syn began as she led them to the area. Sure enough, no one was around. "Can I ask you something?" "What?" Vivio looked up at Syn, seemingly unaware that they were somewhere else. "If we had never met, where would you be right now?" "..." Vivio scrunched the bridge of her nose and thought. Syn leaned up against the railing and watched the lake, staring at her watch occasionally. "I would... I don't know. I don't like to think about it. Without you... I guess I'd be either dead or... worse off." "You think so?" Syn asked, not looking at her. "Come stand next to me," Vivio did as Syn suggested, assuming a similar stance on the railing. "Why do you ask, Syn?" "Because... I don't think I'd be dead... but I can't..." Syn paused, unsure. "I don't think I'd be happy. V, I can't really imagine a world without you." She smiled at her friend. "I like life the way it is, I think, because you're here to do it with me." "...really?" Vivio's eyes wandered up to Syn's own. "You... like life because of me?" "Of course!" Syn answered, confident. "V, I... I'm happy you're around. Really." That was lame. "I can't really express it." "..." Vivio went silent as she stared out over the lake. "Syn, really... without you, I don't think I'd be alive... you keep me going. I mean, some of my family does, too... but..." she paused. "I couldn't do it without you. Living, breathing, if you weren't here... I couldn't do it. No one would be there to help me back up when I fall past the point where I can get up on my own." she looked down at the lake. "Syn... I think..." she shook her head. "No, that's silly." Syn simply chuckled and looked out over the lake. As the sun disappeared under the horizon, the moons' light reflected into the lake. As if alive, small motes of magic energy began to flow up from the lake. Vivio's eyes widened at the spectacle, while Syn's simply narrowed slightly, not out of confusion, but because she was smiling. "W... wow..." "This place, is infused with magic." Syn told Vivio. "They say here is where the Sankt Kaiser declared that Belka's heart would be open to all." As Vivio's eyes stared at what could only be described as stardust, Syn's hand moved atop of Vivio's, while her other reached for her eyepath. Slowly pulling it off, she sat it in her satchel. With both eyes opened, she took a deep breath, and looked at Vivio. "Hey, V..." She began. "I need to tell you something..." "...me, too." Vivio nodded. Without a word, she lifted both hands and put them on Syn's shoulders, turning her around and facing the taller girl. Closing her eyes and leaning up on her tip-toes, Vivio pulled Syn into a neck hug and pressed their lips together. Syn's eyes widened, amazed, but not confused, or unhappy. Syn leaned back into the kiss and put her arms around Vivio, holding the two of them tightly together. When the two parted lips, a single tear made its way down Vivio's cheek. Gently, Syn wiped it away, and embraced Vivio tightly. The two were silent, the rest of the night. No words needed to be said because it had all been said with a single action.
