All manga are licenced. But thats only japanese companies. Although its not licened in usa so.... i guess its not licened here.

I believe KonoMini is an original GAINAX creation, and the manga is a part of the creative output. Many anime also publish manga at the same time (like Gundam SEED) while the anime is the creative source. It's different than probably 90% of all other anime, which are extentions of original manga creative property.

There's manga about everything in Japan... once you have some sort of property which worked in another medium, say video games, novels, or anime, there's often an manga version which follows. Manga's cheap and there's plenty of magazines willing to publish an manga with existing fan base.

Young Animal... that's one of the seinen hentai mangazines; instead of playboy, this is what young men read in Japan. Every issue will have a real-life centerfold and articles on picking up girls. Some will even have censored real-life porn in the back pages in color. Nudity is a must in these manga stories... unless the topic is about baseball or samurai cutting people up. I'm sure a lot of you would have a lot of bones to pick with these mangazines.

yeah but there isn't many that can read Japanese though so it's not worth it until it's translated :P
