You don't need to buy the original game; its story mode is DLC for the sequel.

No surprises there, its been in the rumor mill for a while now. Unless she comes with some "velvet side" story mode, unlikely to see a purchase from me if she's gonna cost as much as a typical Arksys additional fighter.

Ir kind of irks me that they confirmed Marie before Margaret though. You'd think they'd add the character from the vanilla version rather than the expansion first. It made me wonder if they were really skipping Margaret.

Teasing/announcing Marie first is probably to promote the golden anime easier.

I so totally called this! And almost a whole year ago at that! This was when we were still trying to debunk fact from fiction if Adachi was playable...

Still, what I wasn't anticipating was Marie being in this game as well. That's quite a sizable Velvet Room presence in this game as is... Now, I want to pretty much want to say Theodore is out of the question considering that we've already got 3 Velvet Room residents, but I think it's arguable there's as many Theo fans as there are Marie fans, maybe more. I don't think he can be rubbed out of the picture 100% yet. I mean with Elizabeth making references to him in Arena and his presence in Persona Q (canon) makes it possible.

Not that I'm pushing for him to be in there too. I think three DLC characters are plenty enough, but I think aside from another new Original Generation character Theo's an obvious choice for a fourth character... Unless they do something like have a Shadow take form of a dead character to screw with the living ones. A Shadow Shinjiro would ruin a lot of people's days...

I can only assume there's a way to start the match with a specific one of the three Persona she uses... maybe holding a button on selection? Or maybe they change based off a meter you build during the match...
