Assuming that Cruz's role is not meant to be what I described above, he is currently a normal human in a world of Needless (or at least, that's what the story concentrates on), though he does have some guts and a brain. So, why is he a main character, if it's not just to balance things out (though I suspect it really is)? My guess is that somehow, he's the reincarnation of the Second... and farther down the road, we might begin to see signs of this. Unfortunately, right now he just seems to be the guy who has sharper senses than the others

Theory number two, based on this: his Fragment power is Detect...

I had a similar theory that Cruz somehow becomes the second.
Also,mentioned this one on the forum already. One of the possible power for cruz i came up with was that he gains a fragment that doesnt make him any stronger but allows to make other Needless more powerful temporarly like "enhance " or something.

As for your point Alvis I dont see how their not related by blood. except for the eyes their coloring is the same and the whole reason the pulled off trap "Yamada-ko" is because the look like a male/female version of the other

I'm quite far behind on the manga, having read only the scanlated stuff (since I'm not well-versed in Japanese yet), but is Arclight is still needing a body or some way to keep from dying... imagine this Fragment for Cruz that would really put him on Arclight's radar:

He doesn't get any stronger, but he gets a Fragment that grants him invunerability to Needless attacks...

I also had that kind of theory too,The first one is the reincarnation's one that you already mentioned and the other one is the descendant one.
What if Cruz and Arka are Christ The Second's secret bloodline?
Well the "Cruz had some relations with Christ The Second" theory may help us in solving one mystery.

When Cruz ask Mio about the explosion and how can he survived, she said she saw someone's kind and gentle hand during the explosion time, and said that Cruz can survived because somebody were protect him.

Whose hand do you think that is really?
It's definitely not anyone in Blade's group.
For me I think that's the power of Christ The Second(or something related to him).

p.s. Both of the siblings's name are also related with Christ too.

About Cruz, one of my insane theories is that he is more deeply connected to the bad guys than he knows.

He's shown to release his energy in a way to make currents, so he might be able to make sound blasts, though they might not be offensive at all.

It become my most favourite one from the six sidestories, since i have read it from the ultrajump around 2 years ago.

I really wish for it to be animated, too bad that most of the contents are about dirty joke so the chance is almost equal to zero(but there's still a hope for it to become the BD Extra).
