It was mainly because of their interaction. Sheryl was like Minmay (especially with that beret) and Cathy was Misa, especially in looks.

Just on bit on the early Sheryl though, since the predominant reaction seems to be that she's a "b****"

:

Early in the commentary, Kawamori-sensei notes that they wanted to make Sheryl seem, not quite evil, but somewhat hard/stern（きつい）, and then develop it from there to show what kind of person she "really is".

(Seems like it was quite a successful ploy in the end, huh?)

p.s. other stuff that comes up includes paper airplanes, the opening song, the nyan nyan song, auditions, and Alto.

That was one hell of a moment here with Alto and Sheryl=>

Alto was so lucky getting Sheryl like that and those breasts....so close....Alto now I am jealous of you at this part. Sheryl singing at the same time made it just EPIC!
