Felt it was a pretty bad cut of the song that they used for the OP. Wasn't a terribly great song either, was expecting more from supercell

It's not Supercell, but KOTOKO singing the OP. =P

Yes sorry, my mistake there, I should've been more specific instead of just generalising it as supercell. Ryo is basically the face of supercell now tho, after all the songs he composed.

It was a decent song but I honestly don't think KOTOKO is the type of singer Ryo should be working with, her OP for Shana 2 was much better and suited her style. Also I think Ryo is saving his good stuff for Guilty Crown.. dat OP to me has the potential to be his best song since the Bake ED. He has the OP and ED as well as numerous insert songs and of course the second cour will have an OP and ED switch.

I'm quite a fan of Kotoko's "Light my Fire" already, while I am not sure I'd put it above Being, or sociometry for her songs in the series, I definitely like it more than Blaze

Really? I find Kawada's songs to be way more subtle; she doesn't really have an "epic" sound to her music like Kotoko does. But to each his and her own.

The OP is extremely meh and far inferior to any of the 5 previous songs. I don't know; maybe the scenes during it don't make a good combo. But Mami Kawada just sings better songs for Shana. Prophecy set the bar pretty damned high, I have to admit.

The ED is different from your typical Shana ED but it works kinda well. It will most likely fit well with the mood of this season and also they've integrated with the end of the episode well like they do with previous seasons but arguably even better.

And the BGM; the composer for it has always been great. Season II had an even better BGM than first, and I expect no less for season III which has mostly worked.

The ED for season III isn't bad at all, I guess. A bit better than season II's. My favorite would be the S ones again but that's a different mood.
