The next morning, Shinobu woke up finding he was being held by Hijiri and Kaoru all night. Kaoru mischievously told him to take responsibility for what happened last night when he had done many unspeakable things to both Hijiri and Kaoru. Shinobu was frozen right away as his head started gathering thoughts about what Kaoru said but nothing came into his mind. Hijiri comforted him saying that he didn’t do anything at all with a wry smile. Kaoru disappointedly told Hijiri that she nearly tricked him into taking responsibility for a fake fail accompli. Hijiri angrily responded that she wouldn’t be happy at all for tricking Shinobu. Just when Shinobu sighed a breath of relief, Kaoru suddenly showed Hijiri a pervert magazine and told her there were some method to apply the Yin Yang Surgery on in this magazine. Hijiri after taking a glance at the magazine blushed, then she shifted her gaze to Shinobu while shyly saying: “I maybe not good enough but I will try my best…..” but Shinobu already rushed out of the room before she even said it.
Coming downstair Shinobu found Luna who had smiled and came to him. She asked Shinobu what he would like in the breakfast happily whereupon he felt relieved for seeing the normal Luna. However her happy expression soon shattered and then turned 180 degree to “Serious Mode” where she told him: “Shinobu-san, you are not allowed to lose to Gogyo-san’s templation”. Shinobu who was scared by Luna’s overwhelming pressure in her attitude nodded heavily. Luna soon blushed while adding: “…Also please put on some clothes or else you will catch a cold…” where he made a small “Achoo”.
The last day of the cultural festival arrived. In the classroom bathed in the sunset Shinobu and Hijiri were looking at the crowd full of students who were taking part in the folk dance event through the windows while holding each other hands. Apparently Kaoru told Hijiri that physical contact is also a way of doing Yin Yang Surgery so they were holding hand with each other shyly. Hijiri told Shinobu sorry for making him do this kind of thing with her in exchange for no being able to participate in the festival. He replied it was okay since he didn’t have any other friends except the pervert Asada and on top of that he would be forced to wear woman clothes again if he participated in the festival. Hijiri revealed a soft smile upon hearing this and she said: “Sure enough, Nanjo-kun is really gentle” which he denied it in a fluster using some lame excuse. He changed the topic to ask Hijiri the reason she wanted to continue being exorcist and she replied that was because she made a promise with kaoru since young. She began to tell him about her childhood when she was found using magic to kill the demon and her friends, she was quickly avoided by everyone in school as she was labeled as the “monster”. At that time only Kaoru was willing to stay by her side to comfort her but as time passed, Kaoru stopped being happy around Hijiri because of the gap between a exorcist and a lowlife half demon half human who who hated by both race. Hijiri couldn’t stand that discrimination so she promised Kaoru that she would become a top exorcist in order to show everyone her own viewpoint toward half demon hald human and she wanted to shatter that unbalanced treatment toward them as well. Hijiri after done telling about her past asked Shinobu if he hated Kaoru which he replied he liked her more than hate her. Suddenly Hijiri pounted disasstifiedly while mumbling: “…So Nanjo-kun likes Kaoru….”
.Just as he was troubled by this misunderstanding, Kaoru appeared telling Hijiri to come to the rooftop before her since she has something to discuss with Shinobu. When Hijiri went ahead of them, Kaoru told Shinobu the condition to pass the test: Hijiri will have to fight a demon and defeat it by using Yin Yang Surgery to power up midway. Shinobu asked who was the demon whereupon Kaoru replied in bored voice: “Oh just a cute maid who has an angelic smile currently working for Gogyo family”. Shinobu hearing this got stiff right away and stopped his feets. Kaoru turned back to tell him the reason Hijiri’s father chose her as Hijiri’s opponent was because she was much stronger than Hijiri in all aspect thanks to the demon blood and the other reason being his love as a father wanting his daughter to live safely. Kaoru turned away and she continued to proceed forward the test place followed by a silent Shinobu. When they arrived, they found a beautiful woman with a serious aura who was the observer of the test and Hijiri who was standing there with a serious face. As the observer gave out the signal to start the test, Hijiri brandished her sword and put on a ready stance while Kaoru did the same holding two knives in her hands. Shinobu could tell the atmosphere had tensed up as the the temperature seemed to drop 2 or 3 degrees. Hijiri rushed toward Kaoru and unleashed her slash but it was deflected easily by Kaoru with only a knife. However Hijiri continued to strike again only to be blocked by Kaoru and got hit in the abdomen. As she got blown away, Kaoru approached her to sent more strike but Hijiri immediately got up and took a leap away form Kaoru to increase the distance.
After observing the battle for a while Shinobu could tell that if this continued, Hijiri would undoubtedly lose so he caculated the timing just when Hijiri about to unleashed her slash toward Kaoru, he said: “Kaoru’s chest is beautiful!” which made Kaoru blushed to ear shouting: “Wh - What are you saying Nanjo-sama?” while Hijiri suddenly angrily said: “In the end what does that mean Nanjo-kun?” which made Shinobu wonder why Hijiri stopped as well.
Hijiri dropped her shoulder in disappointment: “Sure enough Nanjo-kun only remembers Kaoru’s chest even though I try very hard to please you….”
“No, no this is a misunderstanding I still remember Gogyo-san’ knee pillow you know? It’s very attractive” replied Shinobu in a fluster.
“Huh? Then why didn’t you tell me that at your home?” ”Well… Its embarrassing to say that in front of many people” said Shinobu. Suddenly Hijiri’s eyes shined brilliantly then she said sweetly: “Sure enough, you are impatient, aren’t you Nanjo-kun?””Huh? What does that mea---?!”. Before he could finish it, Hijiri suddenly rushed toward him and hugged him tightly. He was startled by this immediate development but soon lost his mind as Hijiri kissed him.During this long kiss, Shinobu could feel Hijiri’s heat through her soft lips. When Hijiri’s lips left Shinobu’s, Hijiri suddenly muttered in a hazy: “….Ah I forgot to applied effect of Yin Yang Surgery to gain strength” “Wait a minute?! So this is what it all about, a kiss?!” said Shinobu in a fluster. “Because It was too comfortable so I forgot to gain strength! Lets do it again!” “Eh? That—uhmm!”. Hijiri gentle held my cheek and kissed again without waiting for my consent. Inside his mind, Shinobu thought this was such an irritation as Hijiri’s hot and humid tongue invaded his mouth. When their tongue entwined each other, her salive could be felt flowing into his mouth making his mead full of chaos. Because this was his first time he hoped she could be more gentle but she unexpectedly boldly overdone it in a intense way. Then again since this level of stimulation was irresistible so he couldn’t help but to go along with her. He also spotted Kaoru and the witness were holding their digital camera excitingly but as soon as they noticed Shinobu intense’s glare, they hastily hid their camera away. As she left his lips tremblingly once again, she suddenly collapsed on the ground with her eyes and lips still moisted. Shinobu asked what happened and she replied that her waist was losing its force. Shinobu shouted that it was ironic that instead of getting more strength, she was weakened but Hijiri tearfully protested like a baby that she did gained strength. Kaoru interrupted their dialogue and asked if Hijiri could continue to fight in this state. Shinobu stood between them saying that he would fight in her stead. He asked the witness if this was appropriate of not and he received her acceptance to fight as Hijiri’s partner. Kaoru tossed away her knives to fight bare handed with Shinobu since he didn’t have any weapon. When Shinobu jokingly said: “Lady first” Kaoru dashed swiftly and sent out a fist, he barely evaded it and leap back to increase the distance. But Kaoru sped up and appeared right before him to send him a heavily palm strike that could knocked a person out cold right away. Much to her shock, Shinobu stood up once again making her frowned in amazement. She asked why didn’t he attack her when he possessed such skill and strength to endure her strike which he replied that since he was ahandsome gentlemen, he couldn’t hit a beautiful girl like Kaoru. Kaoru hearing this blushed wildly but soon turned serious as she detected a high amount of magical power rising behind her. It was Hijiri who was chanting her spell to call out her strongest flame. Hijiri thanked Shinobu for stalling for time only to receive his complaint about her long preparation. He leaped away from Kaoru and lean his back to the wall while sitting back to the floor. Kaoru stated that Hijiri’s flame only half effective toward a half demon like her so she could beat with that. Hijiri smiled saying this was enough and blasted the flame toward Kaoru. Kaoru realized the danger rushed to the flame to dispell it. However as soon as the flame was put out, Hijiri appeared unleashing her slash before Kaoru but Kaoru had already seen through her by instantly crossed her two knives for defense. A metallic noise bursted out of the air and Hijiri’s sword was shattered. However Hijiri swiftly knocked Kaoru’s knives away thanked to the delay her sword had brought. Kaoru who had lost her weapon was struck and blown away by Hijiri’s thrusting fist, thus ending the match with Hijiri’s victory.
Kaoru who was blown out of the stage nearly fell down from the rooftop but Hijiri swifter than anyone came grabbing her hand. However since she used up all her strength in the fight so she could hold Kaoru tight either so they both was pulling down. However Shinobu came to save them both in a haste while sighing heavily at the fact Hijiri was too reckless. Suddenly Kaoru exposed a rare angry expression toward Hijiri: “Why…Why did you do that, you could have been injured for nothing!!” “Hahah sorry my body just moved on its accord…” replied Hijiri. Kaoru asked why she risked her life saving someone like and Hijiri replied immediately that Kaoru was her family – an order sister to her so she didn’t need to hesistate. “In order to keep your promise, I have been working very hard… All I want is you can stay by side forever, Kaoru…” said Hijiri when her shoulder slightly trembled. Kaoru hearing that couldn’t help but clenching hard her hand and biting her lip firmly. A tear dropped from her eyes as Kaoru said in trembling voice: “Hijiri-chan…” instead of her usual “Milady”. She bursted out crying hard while tightly holding Hijiri who was like a mother caressing a cry baby. Shinobu couldn’t stand that scene got down from the rooftop. He thought that maybe all Kaoru wanted all along was staying close by Hijiri side but she afraided that one day Hijiri may suffer because of her so she wanted to keep distance with her but in the end she couldn’t hide her wish at all. Seeing them like that Shinobu wondered if calling them sisters would be more appropriate now. Suddenly he meet the witness who came to praised his remarkable attitude and strength being worthy of Hijiri’s partner. She said: “I hoped in the future Nanjo-sama could continue to support Milady” “Eh?” Shinobu replied in puzzlement as he thought that his role as partner should have ended after the test. Despite being puzzle at what she said, he still bid her farewell and came home to report the result.
At home both Machina and Elni cried out sadly at hearing this but after knowing everything had ended, they changed back to normal right away. Luna shouted out: “Uwawawawaw~~~” with her eyes full of tears at hearing this and she ran to her room locking up the door. The next morning she still haven’t come out making Shinobu suffer because of Machina hellish breakfast. He came to comfort her only to find a new side of Luna, a “dark Luna”. She was currently playing otome galgame (which mean the MC is a girl) on her bed. He told her that she should at least eat breakfast or else she would get sick but much to his shock, he received a: “It doesn’t matter since the real world are too cruel for me to stay so even if the world met its end, I wont care…” from the “dark Luna”.He told to stop being like that whereupon she turned back to him with a face still full of tears. “I can’t stand the fact that Shinobu-san and Gogyo-san go out with each other….”Luna confessed honestly and Shinobu replied wearily “Huh? Luna, you should know that we didn’t go out with each other”. “But-but doesn’t do dirty things is the only way to pass the test?? And you passed it!!” “Ahhh, we did pass the test but we didn’t do dirty things (I guess kiss isn’t counted as dirty huh?). Also Gogyo-san is my friend, my fiance but not my lover”. Luna hearing this jumped out of the bed in joy hugging Shinobu tightly. She returned to her normal self again making Shinobu sighed a breath of relief.
As Shinobu and Machina arrived at school, Hijiri came to greet them with a “Good morning Shinobu-kun” making Machina frowned in irritation. She asked why Hijiri called Shinobu like they were so close and she replied because she was his fiancé so she could do this. She also pointed out that Machina was also calling Shinobu directly so she stated that Machina was a rival to her as well beside Luna. Machina who was provoked like that smiled fearlessly asking Hijiri if she could call her “Hijiri” as well whereupon Hijiri replied okay, then she asked the same thing to Machina. “Machina-san I won’t lose!” “Huh so do I, Hijiri” they shared a friendly hand shake even though they claimed to be rivals. Shinobu seeing this could not help but smile wryly and suddenly Hijiri put her face close to Shinobu asking him to call her “Hijiri” as well. Shinobu jokingly replied: “Haha okay Hijiri-sama” whereupon she pouted disasstifiedly putting her face close to Shinobu again. “Please call me Hijiri” “….A little too close Hijiri-san” replied Shinobu as he started sweating. Ignoring his replied, she put her face closer again saying mischievously: “If you don’t call me Hijiri, I will kiss you, Shinobu-kun!” “Okay! Okay ! Hijiri!!” Shinobu replied in a fluster. “Since you have called me hijiri, I will kiss you as a reward!” “Wahhh!!” “What do you think you are doing Hijiri?” Machina shouted angrily as she stood in the middle of them. Hijiri told Machina sorry since the combat was progressed well according to Kaoru. Shinobu hearing that name sighed heavily but he didn’t accept to get bullied so he said mischievously: “As expected, Hijiri is such a pervert” “No, no, no I am not a pervert!!”. She took a deep breath to calm herself down and said sweetly to Shinobu: “In the future I hope you can support me more okay Shinobu-kun?” making Machina frowned again asking what did that mean but she was ignored by Hijiri. Sighing heavily at hearing the upcoming trouble, Shinobu started to worry about his future.
