Aye, it can happen. Yui's weaknesses are the inability to focus, and multi-task.

She is an absolute genius, it has been proven. It's just her personality and way of being brought up. If you haven't notice, Ui like adores Yui and spoils her on her on all levels. Truly and awkward but interesting relationship. Ui thinks Yui is cute just bumming around......

Serious Yui is a big no no.

I don't know if I would be able to say that with confidence if I was in any of the other character's shoes though... especially Ui. I really wonder how they manage.

Well after watching the freshman welcome live in ep 8, it seems that Yui is capable of multitasking, however she requires a push/stimulation to be able to achieve that, like Mio saving the performance from disaster when Yui forgot the lyrics but was able to catch up thanks to Mio. And Sawako's special training on Yui before the festival. Although Yui's voice was screwed after the training.

In my opinion, these only seems temporary since Yui will go square one soon after that.

So here's a thought, if Yui was being pushed too far or was forced into a corner will she be able to unlock what was deemed off limits by her short comings and reach her full potential, or will she break down and be crushed by the sheer stress that was stacked against her?

dude, if Yui has a serious personality, she will end up look like Hayate from Nanoha.

I don't know if Yui is really lazy... a lazy person perhaps wouldnt bother to learn guitar, perhaps a lazy person wouldnt be in any club

But that's why I love her. Initially I leant towards Mio but the more I saw the OP the more I preferred Yui. Love the opening.
