Maya, most likely. She's closest to him in age, both chronologically and physically, and her sweet personality is closest to the Japanese Ideal of a Yamato Nadeshiko. Tabane's insane, Natasha acts like a big sis, Clarissa is also insane, and Chifuyu is Chifuyu.

Then I guess I'll give up the direct continuation idea and try to think of a whole new scenario. I tried imagining all of them going out but I have no idea how that would go about.

Yes, in a sense. Note their roles: Natasha, Tabane and Clarissa are there for shits and giggles. Maya's there for an actual reason and is probably the one who would interact with Ichika the most normally given her position as a teacher.

problem is that they are all professional IS pilots in cake eater. They pilot IS for a living. And a little more surprise work which I'm sure you guys can immediately imagine as something utterly outrageous but makes sense considering canon.

The only unique case is Tabane who is a fugitive. And Natasha and Clarissa who are linked to their respective militaries. They are taking leave and I'm wondering if I should have them sever ties with their country at some point.

...hard to say on 'Cake Eater' Ichika since Ichika can get pretty flustered at the drop of a hat. If any one of them grabs his arm and holds on, he'll blush and avert his eyes, especially if cleavage is pressed against it. He'd protest (weakly) if it's Chifuyu or Maya, but he'd protest and try to pull his arm free if it's Tabane or Klarissa. An escalation like that...

Natasha already has an apartment of her own; Clarissa should be well off enough to buy her own place; and Tabane being a fugitive means going to a more effective hiding place other than her friends basement. Maya at least has the reason that she's Chifuyu's teaching aid and needs to help her. All the others hang around and do fuck all.

You don't need logic to create a harem plot, at least if you didn't think it's feasible.

It'll come in time when the fic grew the beard, most harem started as humor unless intended as otherwise.

Mmmm... Tabane was running on the logic of hiding in plain sight. Natasha is the only one just hanging around for shits and giggles... which has a darker reason. Clarissa didn't want to spend her money so just called in a favor. Maya is renting a bedspace because her own home is actually in the countryside with her parents.

Also eras... you're missing the point that they aren't teachers XD

@ Demi - The last time I read the tub chapter, Chifuyu specifically mentioned Maya was her teaching aid. Guess you changed it without me finding out.
