This could probably work, but I think Kishimoto has already established that Orochimaru is more crafty than the old breeding trick.

Ninjas fear the secrets of their villages being stolen so much that they send Hunter Nins on the job to catch renegade Ninja and dispose of their bodies.

It's been established in the last few chapters that Orochimaru has the ability to preserve disgarded bodies for further experiment and the ability to gene splice which means that he could basically genetically redesign each new body with all the right parts like a well modified computer.

Through complicated genetic engineering fit for a Sci-Fi movie Oro could pass the Uchiha bloodline and possibly other bloodlines from body to body keeping all of the strengths intact.

But since Sasuke is so young he probably won't feel the need to do this for a long time.

When Sasuke's body has become to aged or he finds a new body he just has to have I'm sure all he'd have to do his splice genes just like he did with Yamato and the 1st Hokage.

So far, Orochimaru has NOT acknowledged the MS. Only Sharingan. So its logical to say he really really REALLY wants the Sharingan but he doesnt care about MS. In fact, odds are he doesnt know about MS. Itachi is pretty good on his own and he has GHOD eyes. He could take Orochimaru with just Sharingan. I shouldnt be saying "just" since Sharingan is a HUGE powerup, but still, Itachi slayed his clan with Sharingan only on. As far as we know from the depictions. There wasnt Amaretsu burns everywhere. And I dont see him MSing the entire clan ... too much chakra.

My point: Orochimaru may not know about MS unless he has been having soulful chats with Sasuke. Or Kisame.

Orochimaru joined the Akatsuki in order to obtain Itachi's body, but left the clan because he ackowledged his goal to be impossible because Itachi was stronger than him. Now what do you suppose makes Oro believe Itachi is stronger? His coloured nails? He definitely knows about the MS (just like the rest of Akatsuki do) and would definitely want it.

From what I gather, the Uchiha clan has the Sharingan as a disposition. But if Orochimaru takes Sasuke's body, would he automatically gain the Sharingan? I keep wondering whether the Sharingan is a body trait (that works naturally once your body has it) or something that needs to be mastered mentally (through accumulated experience).
There's probably a simple answer to this question, but I missed it.

That remains to be seen. Orohas stated that he wants the Uchiha ability, he's also interested in the potential of Sasuke to surpass the abilities of his brother.

I'm sure Akatsuki members have a general understanding of each others powers and what they can bring to the table.

Orochimaru acknowledges Itachi is stronger than him and it would only be natural for him to want the bloodline limit of the Uchiha. He may not know how to get it but if he finds out about it I'm sure he'd want to obtain it. If he didn't know about it through his time in Akatsuki Sasuke surely told him.

I'm pretty sure that once an Uchiha has sharingan using it as as natural as breathing air.

Once Oro has Sasuke's body he knows everything he knows (another reason why he'd know about MS) because he takes over mind, body and spirit.

Well, Oro is a genius, and he has with him, a Medic specialist, I think that with enough research, he can find the way of activating the MS without the trauma of Killing a Best Friend, If we use logic on the MS, then the windows to awaken it, is directly tied with the Brain, if he does enough research on HUman brains, and how they work, maybe he can find a way!

That is what I was thinking... If he gets MS, it'll probably be using scientifics ways... If that's true, all the "mistification" of MS go to space :P and sooner or later Orochimaru would be able to create jutsus with MS without using it... he would discover the origin of the powers of MS and make it easier... Well... It's a difficult thing to do... But Orochinasty is crazy, I don't doubt him...

About Shuriken hipotesis about continue with the generations of Sharingan, I have to desagree... Orochimaru is too gay to have sex with any woman, huahuahua :P

And this is a shonen, the best explanation is that he would clone Sasuke, because even if he had children, he likes genius, and the possibilities of having genius is less than if you clone a already one like Sasuke (although I don't know if I can bear with more than one :P I don't dislike Sasuke, I just can't bear more than one :P hehehe)

From my understanding, Orochimaru still consider Jiraiya as his best friend and vice versa. However, what Orochimaru sees as a 'friend' is not what many people would expect.
