I don't want bad anything--I'd rather have good everything. If the games can't give me good everything then I just won't play games. I don't have to be playing games; I can read books, watch movies, do all sorts of things.

I agree... to a certain extent, i mean a game is made to be played right?, if a game has a good story but the gameplay sucks then, i prefer to read any book from the Song of Ice and Fire saga than play that game, games need to appeal a gamer through the gameplay, in my case traditional RPG's and tactical RPG's are fine i'm not very fussy about that ones (as long as they are not too repetitive) and i disagree with you here, but action games are another thing, they need to be deep, elegant and clean, very immersive and engaging,i'm very strict in those. Square have decided to make this game an action/RPG game they need to polish the gameplay on this game more, fortunately they still have time to do that, but i will keep this game on check and see the final product, hopefully we get an Epic game in the end.

Denying a game the praise of a good story even if it's gameplay isn't the best is awfully closed-minded if you ask me. It's proven it can be just as good of a story telling medium as books or movies.

I can understand having standards, I do too, but despite that you also need to be able to recognize the good aspects of something even if the bad attributes severely outweigh it. There's no such thing as perfection either. Every good thing is going to have a rough patch somewhere.

Exactly, some people never played Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment and Fallout or they are just that ignorant, earlier Wrpgs were mostly also turn based. The real different lies in the fantasy setting, design, artwork, music. It just gave different vibe.

New thread for new news I guess. There's a new Jump scan floating around with descriptions of the main party in the game, and the Japanese voice cast for the characters (which is also in the Japanese press release for the game).

Noctis Lucis Caelum (Tatsuhisa Suzuki)
Prince of the Lucis Kingdom, possessing eyes which can sense the death of others. His close friends call him Noct.

Gladiolus Amicitia (Kenta Miyake)
The eldest son of a household tasked with protecting the royal family from generation to generation. A close friend of Noctis who is closer to him than a true brother.

Ignis Scientia (Mamoru Miyano)
A childhood friend of Noctis who grew up recieving gifted education befitting a staff officer. He understands Noctis well and is his confidant.

Prompto Argentum (Tetsuya Kakihara)
A friend who has been a bad influence to Noctis since his school days. While he can get carried away easily, there's another side of him which is driven to help friends in need.

Cor Leonis (Hiroki Touchi)
Head of Royal Family Guards, and one of the three strongest fighters in Lucis. While he is harsh to Noctis and the others, he is a true man of honor who takes his vows to king and country very seriously.

Some interesting notes:

Final Fantasy XV

- Nomura says the final line in the FFXV trailer is not part of the game's story, it was just added as a gag for the name change reveal. (This is the line about the "fifteenth coming".)

- He acknowledge that the "A world of the VERSUS epic" tagline at the end of the trailer specifically refers to the possibility of turning the setting into a series of its own. He says the story in FFXV will reach a climax, but it is like the conclusion of a single part of a larger epic (poem). There will be room for more stories to be told.

- He is aware that for large scale console development projects, there might be a need to keep people interested in the long term with online elements rather than just offer a short term single player experience. There are no concrete plans as of yet but he's looking at all possibilities to see what fits.

- S-E is interested in expanding new FF experiences on the PS Vita, as well as smartphones and tablets. They won't be the same old FF experiences, but something new.

- There will be more of FFXV shown from now onwards, especially at big events like TGS.

I only know of Miyano and Kakihara. Is Suzuku famous?
