I've been looking forward to the storyline cut from the Tartaros arc manga, and I'm even more excited to know that it involves Jellal and the remnants of Grimoire Heart. The former kind of just disappeared from the arc after he beat the Oracion Seis, and the latter was a loose plot thread that was addressed a long time ago since the time skip. We know Rustyrose and Kain Hikaru were the only two of the Seven Kin who remained in the guild and survived the fight, and now we know what happened to at least one of them. Maybe we'll finally know the big drawback Rusty's Arc of Incarnation is supposed to have. It's surprising to see Zancrow and Azuma in the preview since they're confirmed to be dead, but seeing how neither of them look any different while Rusty certainly does, I'm betting they're just products of his Arc of Incarnation.

Without Lolis, this show is only half good, LOL. That's why almost all arcs always have one or two lolis in it. They're just Awesome. (especially chibi-lolis) Last edited by chaos_animagic; 2015-08-10 at 01:04. |

It also explains how Jellal got his eyesight back...sort of... But it just raises the question, what did Jellal do to his eyes in the first place? I originally figured he got replacement eyes like Erza did, but it seems they just kind of healed on their own. Clearly he didn't gouge them out because they were still intact. Maybe he used some kind of blinding light?

Finally got caught up! I hate summer school.
I was waiting to ask this until this episode, because it's something I didn't get watching this, or from reading the manga: why was Jellal fighting OS is the first place? And what promise did he make to Mest? |

Very good episode, it's for plot lines like this one that the anime deserves extra praise...although this also made me think how easily Meldy would defeat Kyouka in a 1v1 with her link magic Last edited by Kafriel; 2015-08-15 at 03:52. |

Episode 72:
Seilah going badass this episode. Kinda expected but it's still thrilling to watch her take on Mirajane. That sense of rage is a bit scary. We also find a bit more about Mirajane's past, which imo isn't' very pleasant to see.. I'm glad she has family that suports her and she eventually finds Fairy Tail. Cute chemistry between her, Lisanna, and Elfman. Glad to see Mard Geer getting more screen time as it builds up more events for this arc. I'm not feeling bad for Kyoka though lol. Alegria looks legit.

That was a nice episode. I didn't really know anything about Mira's story. What happened to their parents?
Wasn't she kind of a wild child? Did that happen afterwards, and then she became nicer and less wild when they lost Lisanna? Speaking of Lisanna, she's supposed to know a bunch of animal take-overs isn't she? You'd think she'd use them to fight every now and then. |

The pig take over doesn't seem useful though. Except maybe lunch for some wild beasts. |

...but pigs got powerful jaws and can eat anything!
Quite the sentimental first half this week, the Strauss family sure went through a lot...and then, Mard Geer makes one move and takes out almost everyone! Judging from the preview, next week's episode is gonna rain down the feels once more. Kyouka's punishment seemed way too light though, considering how she tortures people, I would have expected a least using her own magic against her... Lol @ Minerva only caring about fighting Erza. |
