I hate it when things like that are going to occur...

But that aside; can't October come any sooner?
2ch and 4chan will go wild.

2 cour? what will they animate aside from ggo?

I'll just say this.

People who rather make noise and go around looking for a fight are no fan to the series they claim to like. Same goes for those people who stick to a show only because it's the hottest thing in town.

Real fans are those who spend their time enjoying their shows, and when they talk, they talk about what happens in or to the series, their interpretations of the events that has transpired, their expectations of what may come in the future.

My 2 cents =3

*goes back to the stormy seas of E-2*

The lead candidates are Caliber and Mother Rosario. A lot of the people that say they've only announced GGO seem to forget that the Fairy Dance arc wasn't announced at the start of the first season either.

Anyways, I doubt there will be much friction between fans of the two series on this board.

People who watch both, know that they have nothing in common aside from vaguely the basic premise. The only ones who will start crying about which is better will be those who only watched one of them... or neither...

Love both series. Each one has their own unique hooks.

Too bad the internet has a tendency to create divisions where there doesn't need to be.

That's mankind. Always competing for even insignificant things.

One of them is funded by national TV, no problem here. Im more concern about the other studio that is rather aggressive after SAO success.

As long as the DvD sells enough and help the selling of the books, it's mission accomplished for the serie, i just hope NHK will continue to animate the serie when more books will be available.

They were confirmed to appear in the drama CD, after all.

There wasn't any other news from the event, not that I saw, at least. It seems that some video was shown (episode 1 clip?), because apparently they saw Shiroe and Naotsugu's side.

There will be a special broadcast on September 27, the week before S2 airs. Probably a recap/preview so that it doesn't take up a week.

SAO2 threads on 4chan have been extremely tame compared to the first season, but that does not mean trolls will not try to bait and cause conflict between fanbases.

The second season will start with Volume 7 first, which is strange. I wonder if it is going to effect the plotline. Doing 7 before 6 is odd.

Nope, they are going for chronological order, v 7 and 6 happen at the same time.

Dunno if this interests anyone, but Sentai has released the dub cast.

The 8th volume came out at the end of September. Work on the 9th volume also started a week or so ago, but it's a reworking of a single novel length side story that was posted on the author's website, but had not been edited for official publication. As such the 9th volume shouldn't take as long to write and publish as the last couple of volumes. There's also a novel or two associated with the Log Horizon tabletop RPG guide.

So there are more than 7 volumes. As such, they are unlikely to develop the sort of filler content you're likely thinking of (i.e. whole, original episodes). That's not to say they'll do no original content. There were a number of parts in season one where they turned narrator infodumps into full fledged scenes. They're likely to repeat that where applicable.

After hearing the contents of the second drama CD, I wish that they'd turn those into filler/special episodes. Sadly, that probably won't happen.
