I didn´t mean she comes back in Yakusamashi-hen or Taraimawashi-hen, I just meant that she comes back in some arc or another.^_^ So that means there must be an arc where she isn´t killed. I really should get my hands on the games, I want to be better informed...

Rena survives in Watanagashi-hen and Meakashi-hen (as well as Saikoroshi-hen). She also turns up alive in the animated version of the Tsumihoboroshi-hen epilogue but doesn't in the visual novel so it's possible that in the original she dies.

It's not a shop. If you look carefully at the back of the last DVD cover you'll see it is taken from there.

I don't speak Japanese, but from what I can tell they start out wondering if they've met that old woman before. Bernkastel then tells them that she isn't an old woman and they respond by saying that she really is an old woman and walking away laughing.

Maybe if they had shut their mouths and avoided insulting the witch that can manipulate destiny they wouldn't have died so many times over the course of the series.
