If you look at Eins's radar, they were in the general area, but not close enough to support him. Plus, there was no need for them to move in for support against a single flag. Once they realized that the Eins was actually in danger, they didn't have time to close in.

In Gundam Unicorn, while aboard the Nahel Argama, are Banagher and Alberto aware of their relation?

I haven't wacthed a single Gudman episode so I'm planning on watching Gundam now. But I was just wondering if I could just watch the compliation movies. Would I be missing much if I just watched the movies instead of the TV series or should I watch the TV series first?

You would be missing out on quite a bit, actually. It would be less confusing to just watch the episodes, since, in my opinion, the compilations were put together for people who have already seen the series proper.

I disagree. I think you can watch the movies and not miss out on too much. What got cut was: bad animation, humanization of the enemy soldiers, the battle of Odessa, the fate of M'Quve, and some of the worse super robot aspects of the show (Mobile Armor of the week, and the G-armor). Also, it's implied that the movie is canon and the show isn't.

I'm nearly in the same situation as Haak, though I've watched Gundam 00 plus 3 episodes of Unicorn.

What movies should I watch? And are they of 2000s years or before?

depends on what series you want to watch..

You could find previews or a synopsis for each series on the internet.

There are alot of pre-2000 Gundam series, so if you're easily turned off by bad animation, some of the reall old series, you might not like.

For the (and only the) original Mobile Suit Gundam, the compilation movies. Almost everything else, the TV series.

I'll go by this. I've just watched the first two films and found them surprisingly entertaining.

Me too, despite the old animation which really grew on me now that I find old graphics somewhat more appealing, the first 2 movies are awesome.

Though I have a question why do big ships like White Base need small ships for "re-entring" or whatever it is called?

I am finishing MSG 3 movie compilation, what do I watch next for the continuation of story?

1)MSG-Z: 3 compilation movies
2)MSG-ZZ original 50 episodes series

and

3) Char's Counterattack

Is the order ok or should I watch something more for Amuro,Char etc.?

Thats very strange. When you search "gundam" in google images thats one of the first pics to show up. I probably should've known better tho. The giant legs and the disproportionately tiny arms should've been a dead give away.

Before I start Gundam Z movie, I read that without the original series of Z I won't understand the movies / or that Z series are much better than the movies as they have better character development, etc. and that movies are totally AU and will contradict Char's counterattack.

So it's better to watch Z series instead of Z movies?

The movies apparently disrupt canon because of changes made to give the moveis a lighter tone, I don't think they really will contradict anything if you choose to watch them, since they're fairly minor. However ZZ probably won't make much sense (I won't tell you why, if you choose to watch the series).

And obviously, more time = more character development. It depends on wether you have the time for the series. The updated visuals can wait for re-watching, since they didn't re-animate everything. imo.
