That ethernet switch looks like an old one, 8 port on closer inspection... the wireless mouse looks to be Kensington? Laptop comes with parallel port, USB, 1 Ethernet and 1 dialup jack... there's slight animation mistake which makes the laptop quite big (17" display model, 16:10 aspect ratio from top down view and smaller from other angles. Base on the screenshot (16:10 and 5:4 I would favor the 16:10 at 17" as the actual size of these machines)

(When it comes to space battle it's gotta be HW, Freespace is too shooter for me)

Edit: Desktop icons on Nagato's desktop: MSN 8, My Computer, Windows Media Player, Google Earth, IE and 3 folders.

Yuki wrote a program and compiled it, saved it in C:\ The program name is SimInject.exe. All the computers were on Microsoft Japanese IME. set to alphanumeric input.

That was a fun episode. Just like I predicted, they went all out with CG spaceships and fancy SF space combat. ^^;

There were so many parody references to other SF animes too, like Yamato, Gundam, and Macross.... Mikuru's nekomen crew was hilarious.

And so there we have it, another Yuki-main episode, I think it's about time people realized that the heroine of this series is not Haruhi, but Yuki. (well, as of volume 8, it's true) The only time Haruhi was treated like a main heroine was in the first volume of the novel anyway. After that, it's Yuki all the way!

===============
For the next episode, again, just like I suspected, they're doing "Live a Live" (not "Live Alive"), which covers the culture festival where "Asahina Mikuru no Bouken" was aired. Finally, we'll be able to hear at least one of the insert songs ("God knows..." or "Lost My Music") sung by Hirano Aya (Haruhi).

... Then again, I'm probably not the only one looking forward to seeing Yuki play her electric guitar like a pro. ^^;

Not really all the time like in the case of Snow Mountain but it is true that Haruhi doesn't get to be heroine that much after vol1. (Live a live would be Haurhi's moment in the sun though).

RX-78 appearing is something, but adding 'Ikimasu!' made me laugh, that's totally Amuro Ray lol

This episode reminds me of too many shows lol, Macross, Nadesico, Top Wo Nerae!, Gundam series, Starwars etc. etc.

Graviton Torpedoes, Super Proton Cannon, Mikuru sure has some exotic weapons, I've never heard of these. Anyone know where did these come from? And the Nekoman crew is hiliarious lol

Yuki is truely the Ruri of Haruhi's universe, or Ruri is the Yuki of the Mecha Universe lol

That horizantal kick was awesome! So was all the fleet ship scenes. I don't think we ever saw fully Kyon's ship's bridge, though...

I was hoping for interceptors, but I guess that wasn't in the game...

Excellent episode nonetheless.

Yuki playing the guitar??? wtf...........!?!?!?!?

We did see the bridge to some extent. Just like Yuki's, Kyon's bridge is full of Kyons.

Itsuki's bridge is weird though, everyone is a nude green bald Itsuki lol

It was funny when the com club screamed: "Long live computer club", not exactly this but along the lines lol

In naval term, Nagato was able do perform "crossing the T" by the mean of that formation. Dies Irae was totally saturated from all points at the endgame.

I am not sure that was the correct term... Nagato wasn't trying to destroy the target, but herding it into a trap. Her mini-fleets were not strong enough to destroy the enemy flagship on their own, since most of its forces are spread out elsewhere and keeping the other enemy fleets occupied.

Taking advantage of the fact that the enemy is blinded due to being in unexplored territory, Yuki made sure the enemy fleet can retreat only into the fire of Haruhi, Itsuki, Kyon AND Mikuru. After they removed nearly all the enemy's forces, the lone flagship retreated by itself back into Yuki's range of fire, where she finishes him off.

Yang Wen-li would be proud.

By the end though the lone fleet fell into the cul-de-sac. The 4 other fleets of computer club were unable to aid the leader and Dies Irae was caught in the crossfire. In the animation scene Kyon's fleet had to turn to fire which in itself to me reminds a great deal of combat of ironclads... thus I coined "cross the T" by the end. (Yuki's bait was what you mentioned on 19:30, on 19:33 would be the cul-de-sac)
