Well they are going to have another 4 episodes coming out here this year for a new tales of symphonia ova concerning the second half of the game its based on which is tethe'alla.
I personally like the game and its sequel a lot more than I do the OVA (I have beaten it like seven times already). |

I believe the reason for making just these two rushed; quick OVA's of Tales of Symphonia is because Tales of Symphonia wasn't that popular in japan that it was in America and Europe. This game didn't make it to famitsu 100 games of all time, while games like tales of the abyss and other tales that I don't remember did. Also the game has been criticized for having a clichéd story. I have played Tales of Symphonia, Tales of the Abyss and Tales of Vesperia. The reason for these OVA’s and the sequel was mainly due to its high popularity outside Japan.

I was ticked they didn't continue the anime for the Tales of symphonia saga, i read the manga and got a full picture that they could have easily continued it to atleast 51 episodes like FMA and Soul eater and ect.

How far of the game do you think this second OVA will cover? It doesn't seem possible that four more episodes can cover the material of the entire rest of the game, so I'm kinda curious as to where it will cut off.

Some details on Tethe'alla hen volume 1 DVD -- the Ltd. Edition will come with another disc with a new animated special (more of Kratos-sensei's private lessons?), while the Exsphere version comes with a second disc that has some footage of the voice actors.
Source. Pre-ordered mine last week.

Just wondering, but has the first episode of the Tethe'alla arc been shown. The official site states that the first volume for DVD was coming on 3/25/2010. Also, the site has some nice promo images of the characters in their dress costumes from one of the side quest.

I just saw the raw and I have to whole heartly agree with you. Very beautiful animation and the fights were done impressively. Can not wait til May. It also makes you wonder how this would have been done if this series was given the TV episode lengths and Abyss was given the OVA treatment.
