Hmm, I just finished rewatch episode 5 and I noticed some odd things. How come Harima is wearing red socks in the scene where she is bowing down to Yakumo? Why was Hanai calling Yakumo, Yakumon when she took his glasses?

That's what he always calls her. That and Yakumo-kun. As for the socks... who knows? Animators with weird fashion taste, possibly.

Another earnest scene between Tenma and Karasuma at the end, on top of other similar parts of amicable communication between them from previous episodes. It certainly gives the impression that there's a mold building between the relationship of Tenma and Karasuma. From these scenes, they look sweet together, giving me reason to support this True Oudou scenario, but of course it's far from concrete. Karasuma is just being himself, a soft spoken nice guy, and he does not recognize Tenma romantically, and Tenma, unable to express her feelings to him. *Sigh* obstacles. As for Harima, I just think he needs to rid himself of his fixation on Tenma before any romantic relationship with another female is possible. Anyways, this episode was worth a few chuckles. "Harima-kun, you're always jumping the gun." So very true, and this does not apply just to Harima as well...

Another great episode.

The Cake Conundrum was predictably hysterical.

The ending with what I'll call "SR: The Next Generation" was kind of cute.

Now we wait for EP6.

Not as good as ep 4, not enough Flag to fit my tastes (but we can't have too many without decreasing their emotional impact ), but still good.
And at last, a "fight" between the proud princess and the silent esper is approching ...

About Yakumo, she's also able to read girl's though (like Tenma's ). They just need to be directed to her. And it seems she has got that power recently (as the narrator implied it in her first episode).

About Hanai, I have re-watched his first meeting with Yakumo, and the way he says exactly what he's thinking just remind me of ... Kitamura sensei from Azumanga Daioh !
Well, without the lolicon obsession ... until now ? (cf Kanedragon's snapshot)

It's also amazing how each character of the serie is already present in those early episode (the swimming pool fight introduces every major/minor characters), even a little second.
