Great news!
I'm 99,9% sure the double episode on the 14th will not be half a recap episode, but just episode 66 and 67 in one.

You can tell from the episode titles on tv-tokyo's website.

the title for episode 67 is something like
*spoiler tags just to make sure no one is offended*

Spoiler:

Not late for nothing, extreme secrets, chidori! (rough translation)

That means ep 67 will (most likely) cover chapter 113 and 114.
Which in turn means ep. 66 will cover 111- 112. And 65 will cover 109-110.

We'd all love that, but you have to remember, that they cannot let the anime progress faster than the manga. If it ever catches up, then we will have loads of annoying filler episodes to watch while the manga pull ahead again.

Well, at the moment, the anime is moving at a 2:1 ratio against the manga (2 chapters per episode). So, in 100 episodes time(ish), it will catch up with the manga.

If the manga hasnt ended by then (I doubt they could sensibly wrap up the story that quickly either) then there will be a problem.

Hence they will make it move more slowly, and put extra filler bits in :/

im looking forward to what happens right after that fight, i cant belive the anime is finally coming along. I hated how they wasted like 20 episodes covering the prelims and the recent filler episodes.

I don't think there will be any confusion, according to the tv-tokyo site it will be episode 66 and 67 complete with titles and everything.

Oh and about the 'spoiler'.

I really hope that the anime Chidori looks one hell of a lot better than the piece of crap in that video, and a little slower, too.

Why the hell would you want it to be slower? The Chidori is a HIGH SPEED attack. That's one of the main things to it.

I said all the filler up until now combined would be about 5 episodes. Filler, as in, things added in the anime that weren't in the manga. For example like Naruto having to stay on Gamabunta's back. The prelim fights themselves are just part of the story.

In the anime the charging up and explanation and stuff will take minutes. In a fighting game the move has to be almost instant, or it will get annoying see the same animated sequence again and again.

the animation seems to have changed distinctly. it will of course be blue, but will it look like kakashi's ... it being more transparent and crappy-looking is what i am hoping that does not happen.
