I see... but that's not the point. Each of the girls has a strange monster flash on the screen for just a second during their Ignite transformation. I'm cataloguing those in case they somehow turn out to be important.

Yeah, I think the best case is saving Carol. But even then it may not be 'save her and let her life a normal life' but more like Fine in saving her so she can give up her anger and be more at peace.

If they save anyone, it'll probably be Elfnein. Of course it depends what happens with Elfnein going forward. If taken over by Carol then it really may be a Fine/Shirabe situation where Elfnein will be ok, but Carol moves on.

That's pretty much the way I figure it, although the fact that they ended up pretty much letting Ryoko die because she appeared to have been completely subsumed by Fine (and they didn't have any way to save her, of course) makes me worry that someone writing the story might just decide that Elfnein is sacrificable for the sake of drama.

I'm curious to see if they will be important. It seems safe to say things are still going according to plan for Carol so maybe these beast images will come into play in some way. For all we know maybe an aspect of the coming battle will be a dark mirror situation where they have to slay the beasts created by the Ignite Module.

Yeah, here's hoping they don't kill off Elfnein for the drama. With Ryoko the tone was basically there for that kind of thing and also we never really met Ryoko. She was always just a cover for Fine. Will hope for the best for Elfnein, would be too bad for her not to make it.

I'd say the show would deserve having some good sales since it does feel like a step up from season 2 (which I still really enjoyed).

Interesting episode (just got the chance to watch it over lunch break after being away from home during the weekend)...

The bad:

Spoiler for Remember, writers, your audience isn't REALLY five-year-olds...:

Heavy-handed writing. Symphogear isn't exactly known for the delicate subtleties of its message, but this was pretty bad, when Maria has her "Elfnein said it was what I told her..." moment, then Elfnein shouts the repeated message, then there's the flashback to what was said earlier in the episode, that's basically purple-dinosaur-grade obviousness. Making sure to show that Biki's dad is a cowardly pus-bag earlier in the episode before identifying him is almost as weak.

The good:

Maria songs! Maria transformed! Maria fighting! Berserker Maria! Ignite Mode Maria!

Looks like Daddy Issues are about to take center stage.

The confusing:

Apparently, Garie wanted to "be the first" to be killed. So...this is all part of their plan, just as Carol's body being taken out was? And how does it fit in? And what was it that Phara did? And does that mean that Garie was a decoy only? Or is Garie accomplishing something and was a decoy?

The amusing:

Spoiler for Bathing suits!:

One of the commenters on CR was pointing out the body types in bathing suits and the "problems" with certain characters. Clearly, this person does not realize that if Tsubasa wanted to fill out a bikini, she should have dedicated herself to becoming a flail instead of a sword.

Also, "Radiant Force" as a pack-in with BR1 continues to make me very sad. At least "Glorious Break" stands a reasonable chance of showing up on one of Nana Mizuki's album releases sometime. But with RF, our only hope is the remaining (September 30 release) eighth character song album...

Garie was the best of the autoscorers, just so much twisted attitude with that one. She wasn't just a one-note villain, but was pretty darn dangerous with personality.

Should be interesting to see how Hibiki's father impacts things and how the group reacts. Obviously Tsubasa can relate to not exactly having an ideal father. Though the rest of them (Chris, Maria, Kirika, Shirabe) are in the "our parents are dead" category so at most we may have them giving the perspective of "well at least your dad is still alive."

I do wonder if that guy might get killed though. Considering Carol's issues, going after Hibiki's father might not be outside the realm of possibility.

It is interesting trying to figure out Carol's plans and how much if not everything is happening according to her intentions. I wonder if Garie was really a decoy at all. Phara was basically invisible, did she need a distraction to get inside or did she simply take advantage of Garie's actions?

Garie wanting to be killed first at least seems to be a safe assumption. The fact that Carol hasn't revived herself in some way yet would also seem to lead one to believe the goal is for the Autoscores to be defeated first. Then Carol's plan will kick into action and she'll probably make her grand return.

I was wonder that too.
My guess is when Hibki give her a blow at the end, either it destroyed into piece or she call back her relic in her.
It will give me goosebumps if the relic has regeneration ability to recover the damage and restore it back together.lol
