Those bitches are going pretty well and pretty fast, already on Ep07!!!

You can watch the episodes at their site, at least I could despite living in Germany, which by the way should be illegal ... right? But compared to the subs, their typesetting and resolution is horrible, not to mention the lag. Oh and they are not that far ahead from the subbers, but still way behind the raws, which is rather puzzling, considering the low quality.

Anyway, this along with Ga-Rei are the first shows I actually watch and prefer raw (I would have also added ef, but SHAFT is very hostile to Japanese language newbies ). Back to Shikabane, despite the two main VAs mediocre performance, I still prefer the them, I can hardly recall a dub that was not utterly ludicrous. Western VAs tend to be failures of actors and have to make a living by VA-ing, while in Japan VAs are on par with normal actors ... I think

Actually, from what I understood, FUNimation secured world rights to stream the series (except possibly a couple territories) outside of Japan. That's why you can watch the series on there without it saying you can't.

Nooo!!! Minai!!! What a tragic end. I thought for sure that Oori will become Minai's new contracted priest but nope...looks like Sadahiro deliver the finishing blow. Poor girl. I bet she ditch Isaki with the pretext of confiscating Oori's cellphone just so she can see Oori again.

Got my chance to watch subbed episode eight at FUNImation's website.

At first I thought that Shikabane Hime are done for once their contractor die before them, because either they die immediately or turn into Shikabane.

But Sadahiro offered Minai an alternative similar in Fate/stay Night:
1. She could find another contractor, and let Sadahiro perform the needed meditate ritual to legalize the bond.

The pre-requisites were:
1. The new contractor must have certain level of spiritual energy or a strong mental connection to match with the astray Shikabane Hime.

Ouri fulfilled the description, and even Sadahiro offered Minai the proposal to contract with Ouri.

However, Minai at the end refused and chose to follow Shuuji Isaki, as she pledged her loyalty towards her deceased monk contractor.

Sadahiro's Shikabane Hime was left with contempt at Minai's decision to let herself killed, because Shuuji Isaki earned a bad reputation among the sect and the Shikabane Hime for badly treating Minai.

Thanks Malkuth for the Funmation page note, I went there got to see Ep8 and hope to see the others in Japanese voices with subs there. I have yet to see much of this one for obvious reasons.

For best results change to 800x600. Yes I have a 22 inch HD widescreen always have the 1650 x 1050 setting on but, here err there at Funmation with the Flv format it really makes it look great using the player they have no bloches and smears that way. Same thing for most youtube videos as well. Just change it back when done playing.

This show looks like it would make a really good Ps2 videogame ...

Anyway thanks again for the mention of where it and many others can be seen now.

Especially considering how poor this anime has been overall, this was a great episode, with lots of tension and action and sad/moving end...

Unless you were not thinking at all, anyone already figured out that Keisei was going to die, and yep, he sure does... And he goes out in a blaze, proving he is one of the few decent characters in this anime. Really awesome job by him, considering he had been stabbed and lost an eye.
And Makina manages to do her job for once and kill off that gas Shikabane.

Still... Makina isn't wearing anything underneath? I had doubts ever since I realized from the beginning of the OP...

Keisei...

The mood was wonderfully broken by the evil priest's facial distortion around 18:26. That was just horrible...

Ouri will curse himself for what he did to Keisei, once he's broken free of the curse.

What surprises me is that the Shikabane who possessed him did not make any subtle or sudden moves with Ouri's hand to stab Keisei.

I was warned that Ouri's got taken by that glasses Shikabane and was in expectation that once Keisei let down his guard for the needed time, then Ouri would pierce him either near the chest or through gut violently.

Instead, possessed Ouri simply walked towards Keisei and then stretched his left arm towards the latter to stab him with a natural movement.

Think of it as the arm movement when one walks to reach a closed door, and then one stretches his or her arm to reach the door knob and rotates it to open the door.

The eleventh episode setup the climax spiral for the conclusion to happen in the next episode, and have Keisei to make the explanation about his involvement with the Hoshimura clan and the Kougon sect.

Spoiler:

What I understood is that Keisei became friendly with the head of the Hoshimura clan to the point of being treated as a member of the family.

I got to watch Makina from a newborn baby to the little girl she was in the picture; her brother as well.

It was a creative move that Keisei's younger self would frequently broke the fourth wall and interact with the viewer to explain the events of the flashback.

And later when he met with the current Makina, left with rage and despair, at the ruins of the manor and plead to Keisei to contract her to become a Shikabane Hime for revenge.

And I got my prediction right, from two posts ago, about Keisei chances of surviving until the end of season one having diminished.

Spoiler:

Makina is straightforwardly frightening when her eyes locked on the pictures of the shichisei, the shikabane who slaughtered her clan.

She's particularly resentful against the albino, multi-colored eyes, Shikabane girl; the one whose both mute and a psycho, which makes her a monster.

Spoiler for The cat:

It seems that the cat double crossed Ouri, after all.

It lured him out of his apartment and just stood still witnessing his left arm becoming cursed by the glasses Shikabane girl.

After watching the developments for the eleventh episode, I must comment that the shichisei (the seven Shikabane group) annoy me as hell.

Those guys are freaking, über-strong or most precise their nature is so mysterious and unknown that makes them impossible to predict their moves, and what they're thinking above else.

I haven't been irritated with villains as such nature and caliber, since the Homunculi from the FullMetal Alchemist manga.

It's wishing for the impossible that all get killed in this season for two things:
1. Like I said everything is mysterious and unknown about them.
2. Season two is at near dawn by the start of January.

The best outcome would be that Makina could at least evaporates gas Shikabane into thin air before this season ends, and Akasha getting reduced into pile of putrid mass.

Today when I visited Funimation's website to check if they had already added Shikabane Hime episode 9 subbed, I got the following message right after clicking the "Watch Videos" link to access the videos section:

I am both surprised and confused to have gotten that outcome. I mean two days ago I was able to access their videos section with no troubles at all and have been doing so for about eight straight weeks.

I live in México, so I'm asking to everyone who lives in either the United States or Canada, if today you had also experienced the same problem.

I just want to confirm whether this is a general issue with all the world-wide users accessing the Funimation website, or if Funimation is blocking the IP addresses belonging to a geographical region different from the United States and Canada.
