Got a citation for that? And, would that include the Latino populations in those states? You know, that segment the GOP has driven off?

And the "Real American" statement is offensive. It shows some real lack of clues about what being an American is.

Yeah, I don't wanna hear that "real American" B.S. But leave it to the GOP supporters to accuse everyone outside of their circle as not being real Americans. Flying, do you know how anti-American the GOP has been in the last several years? I mean, obviously you don't, and GOP supporters don't, and that is one problem out of many right now with this country!

What a grand political performance, especially after the many fairly boring speeches earlier today. Great fun.

Clinton gave a very fact-filled informative speech, one not seen much of in either convention so far. But...

Elizabeth Warren almost upstaged him. She was invoking hellfire and rightfully so

Bill was on fire tonight and I am liking that GOP has nothing to say about it.

Well, Obama is now the official nomination for the Democratic Party....yey.

Does anyone else wish for the old style Conventions where the delegates actually got to fight for who they wanted to win, and the speakers were there to try and influence the votes through rhetoric and compromise? Now those sound fun (to watch). Instead we have political advertisements and preordained tightly scripted sound and fury.

Oh well, at least everything looks pretty...

Agreed.... I used to stay up when I was a kid listening to the radio as the states roll called their votes and there was some real uncertainty about the winner in some cases. The marketeers have infected the process with their fixation on a "smooth product". Before, it actually seemed like democracy in all its rowdiness.

Yeah, even my conservative friends weren't commenting on my FB posts lawl.

As for the Convention conundrum, it's mostly an issue with the primaries yes? If it was as closely controlled by the party as it was back in the day, we wouldn't really know the nominee until the actual convention. But today most primary candidates are forced to concede based upon the results of delegates counted after the primary. Then again we do have the "Superdelegates" so I guess the point is moot.

Odds are he had a large amount of his money in overseas accounts, thus paying even lower taxes than he has in the last year or two (which is already ridiculously low for how much he makes (notes: not earns)), and used the amnesty period in 2009 or 2010 to report them without going to jail.

Thus, he technically didn't break the law (well, he did, but was forgiven without trial or arrest), and doesn't want the common people to know.

What hackers? Sounds old school to me ala watergate style! Nothing here reeks sophistication as seen in previous targets
