Maki x Umi x Eri Nico x Nozomi Hanayo x Rin Honoka x All of the Above That shows you that Honoka truly is the harem leader. Nozomi is like Momo from TLR Darkness. She sets it all up for the true harem leader, Honoka. Exactly.

Love Live Life 08 - Muse (Crescendo)
The characters and story in this show have all been really good so far, but once again, I must talk about the editing. Whoever's producing this show gets the language of film. See the phone sequence. It showed with the background music and editing this week. The entire episode felt like a large scale symphony, beginning with the opening number and building to the first song that wasn't newly written for the show which, now with some context behind it, felt even more powerful than when it first appeared a year or two ago. The whole episode felt like a less dramatic (read: not worse) episode of TARI TARI, though there are still some episodes left to go. The issue of A-RISE and the titular Love Live still remain, as well as if the school will stay open (my bets are that it will. Power to the underdogs!), but if this was the finale, I can say that I'd be satisfied with closing the story here. |

That's one of the strengths of this particular anime since episode 1 I feel. They somehow just get how to show everything relevant RIGHT without dragging out anything or showing something pointless. I've referred to the editing once as "snappy", and this is especially true of the comedy sequences. That phonecall you mentioned is also another use of good editing, allowing them to show the reactions of all the girls equally without it looking bad.

Bad boy, go sit in a corner and reflect on your actions! If u's gets popular enough, maybe they can get into those idol athletic tournaments like in IM@S episode 10, then we can see DANKETSU vs TANOSHII in action

A big part of what makes Love Live! such a spirit-soaring spectacular show is how it perfectly synthesizes moe with drama. I can count on one hand the number of shows that synthesizes those two elements as well as Love Live! does. The most recent of them is Saki. Quote:
But thankfully, there's more episodes to go, so this wonderful setup is simply that: The perfect lead-in to the completed Muse rising up to (hopefully) achieve the goals it had from the very beginning.
